Any of you CC members plan on playing this year’s the wsop? I’m going out there on June 16th to June 25th and staying at Horseshoe again. It’s getting close and I’m super excited! I will be playing the dailies mostly, they are so much fun for 250.00 buy ins. On June 21st I’ll be playing in event 59, salute to Warriors. I played that one last year and did horrible lol so my goal is to do a lot better and try to make day 2. I have been preparing with lots of study, can’t just hope to do better without study, and plus I love the process of my studying so that makes it more fun.
So if you are planning a trip out I hope to meet other CC members to say hi! Also I’ll be posting my chip counts on the WSOP+ App like I did last year.
Anyways, good luck everyone!

I am looking forward to my trip to vegas, but this may be the last time.

do those WSOP bracelet senior events have a good structure ? i played some years ago and the starting stacks had so few big blinds that it was basically a turbo tournament .

It was one of the non bracelet events but the structure was actually not bad. Going to play them again this year.

Hey Ken, we didn’t meet because if I remember right I want down there the same time last year as you were. I did play the Senior Daily Deepstack and plan on doing that again this year on Thursday June 18th, so if you’re down there then I’ll see you there! I love the Senior events, tables are usually a lot more friendly, lot more chatty, just more fun in general. The only bracelet event for me this year will be on the 21st, the rest of the time will be the dailies. Gold Nugget might have a Senoirs event during the time I’m there so I might play that one also.
Good luck, sorry it’s your last time!

I think the structure is pretty good for the Bracelets you usually start with 20k with one hour levels. They have a Super Senior event while I’m there on the 22nd of June, so if I do good on a Daily I can play that one, it’s a 1k buy in. The Dailies are every Thursday starting at 9am for a 250.00 buy in, and even these are good structures, 30 min levels and starting stack of 25k. They can get up to 1,000 players on these Dailies so winning one can get you close to 30k

Thanks Cuponel! Last year I posted any funny stuff that happened at my table. That’s what I love about Vegas and playing low stakes, there is so much entertainment!

Won't know if I'll be playing the Main Event until after I play the Corning Poker Club's JP Classic May 2/3. They will have 2 or 3 $13K packages up for grab.

Have fun out there Danny!
I had hopes of going the past couple years but haven't been able to make it due to health issues. Maybe next year.

I had previously planned to go mid-June when all the Senior's events are happening in Vegas. I'd want to start off with the WSOP MonsterStack, then the senior's events at Aria, Orleans, Venetian, Golden Nugget, Wynn, WSOP Seniors, and then 'maybe' Super Senior's. (& Super Senior's Venetian, lol).
It'd be one of those 'it depends' type of holidays. It depends on if I have any money left. It depends if I'm exhausted. It depends on how homesick I get.

Again, have fun and keep us posted on the experience. It's always fun to follow along here on the forum.

Dang that’s a bummer about your health issues, hopefully all gets better for you soon and hopefully you will get the chance to get out there and battle next year for sure!
Yeah they do have lots of Senior Events which I think is really cool! A couple of years ago I played one at Gold Nugget and Greg Ramer (fossil man) came in and played. He likes to play all the different Seniors also lol. He was on my wife’s table and she texted me and said “oh boy, look who’s at my table” lol So during break I got to say hi and get a pic with him, I told him I bought his book so that was cool. Great guy!
Yeah I definitely understand about being homesick, I got that way last year because my wife didn’t go so I was there by myself for a week and it sucks to not have her there to talk poker with and it’s the same this year, she can’t make it and I’ll be there for 9 days, which is a long time to be in Vegas with how expensive it is now but hopefully I’ll get some good cashes to cover all the cost.
I’ll for sure have a thread going on here somewhere and do updates and all the fun craziness that happens playing live poker at low stakes, it’s always fun! If you download this app called WSOP+ you can follow along live with any player which is really cool, I like the new app.

Good luck with your new WSOP event! You've done your studies very well; I see you finished the 30-day course! That's great. Enjoy it and play relaxed. I'll be following your progress.

I'd love to go to the Montevideo event, but it's too soon... my plans are for 2027. I wouldn't go to Las Vegas; I'd prefer the Bahamas, Uruguay, Prague, or even Morocco, for example.

Thanks Martinlgs!
Yeah I’m extremely lucky to be retired and having all the time in the world to study. I enjoy the whole study process, taking it serious and all that. I know a lot of people don’t have the time or patience to get to study like I do so I feel real lucky about that.
Good luck in all your adventures!
