Girls at the table - your views?

So sorry to offend , that's not what I was trying to do . I was trying to imply that some gay/les act over the top while I myself am just myself . No big show , although I suppose there are straight people with a really big attitude or personality as well . I have gay and lesbian family and by no means did I mean to be racist . My experience with women playing live poker is as follows:

Players over 60 are still only playing high quality hands. This may be true of men over 60 as well.

Players in their 30's-40's who have been playing since the Moneymaker effect play a bit Tight/Passive, those who are more TAG, get a lot more folds from their opponents.

Not seeing many new female poker players. Need online in the US to start bringing in fresh blood.

Women have the same capacity of men of doing anything.
The number of women in poker community is growing faster.

There are a lot more times than not, when there is a couple ladies at a table, there is some good chatter. Some like it, some not so much, but for the most part seems to make the game atmosphere a little less serious and maybe a little more fun? Just my observations. Of course, for the most part I am a chatterbox, soooo....

I love having female poker players at the table. They're generally less arrogant and more friendly than the male players.

Most of the females I play against tend to take fewer risks, bluff less often and are tighter preflop than males. Although they still do well because when they do finally raise a premium hand, they always get called by competitive guys who want to try to outplay her. So when she has AA and she re-raises a guy preflop, he'll usually fight back

The local women regs are so much more devious when they play. It is always fun to watch the weekend fish/ business men smile while they ship them their chips. They also seem to slow down their play when they are heads up against a woman post flop more likely to call down than to re-raise.

Women are GREAT for the game. I actually got involved with poker in 05 because I was dating a woman who was "rounding" and she was making a very nice living for her and her 3 kids doing so. I quoted the rounding because she lived in Bentonville, Arkansas and there were only a few casino options available and she really only liked playing at one, so that's where most of her weekends were spent (which kind of sucked because that is where a few of our first few dates were spent and at the time I had absolutely zero interest in poker..oh, how the times have changed). There were quite a few female players there and some of them were awfully good and when you look at the landscape of poker, females are starting to become a force in the game. Look at Vanessa Selbst and Loni Harwood--they are still young and already multiple bracelet winners. So, bring on the ladies!

Actually Shells, I only chat much in CC games.
Why ? Because most of the times it feels like I play with friends and some chatting, a little "friendly" needling, creating some friendly rivalry makes it so much more fun.

So what better target to needle a bit than those open-minded female CC members who show a great sense of humor ?
Even more , CC actually gives ground to it.....I mean, what do we expect when creating a Guys vs Gals competition ?
More than just Double Trouble I guess , but it's one of the most popular Special Events , no doubt about that.

About girls at the table....perfectly fine....the more the better when it comes to the fun part of the game and finally a game to battle eachother on even ground.

When it comes to skills every generalization, like 'they're more passive' is beyond reality.
Yesterday in the DT game I started with Lydia at my left and Alf second of my left.
If it comes to skills, you think I care they're male or female ?
Definitely not.....no matter how much I like them , I don't want them to be there because if I make a single mistake, both are capable of eating me alive.
For my amusement value it's great to have them at my table ofcourse....

When it comes to the chat....well, maybe some male players would deny it, but I fully admit it becomes way more amusing when there's female players at the table, although the one-liners of Alf and Henry Minute, just to name some, could already make for some good laugh.

Long story short....good for the game to have more females at the tables ?
Definitely yes....it makes the game much softer.....no guys....not skill-wise, but friendly-wise...

ps...I wonder if I undergo some surgery Stars would allow me to play these women only tournaments.
