For me jazz works way better than songs with lyrics, which can just pull my brain away from the table, but some smooth jazz in the background keeps me relaxed without messing up my focus.

I’ve tried both, and honestly it depends on the setting. At home grinding online, I’ll throw on some lo-fi or instrumental stuff because it keeps me relaxed without pulling too much focus. But live poker is different — I usually skip the headphones so I can catch table talk, betting rhythms, and little things like chip handling. Those details can be way more valuable than the comfort of background music. If you feel distracted, silence might be the edge you’re missing.

Sometimes I try to use headphones, but I like to listen in to what people are saying.

Music played in poker rooms can be very eclectic, sometimes weird choices like Christian rock music I thought was bizarre.

This is me all day everyday lol. I can't play in silence. I have a special playlist set and I make sure cancel the noise and listen to my jams, sometimes I wantch poker content on YouTube while playing, it also keeps me in the zone
