Acho que pode ser tanto uma estratégia de distração quanto de concentração, dependendo se sua mente está focada ou não.
Yes, it depends on the environment you're in and your state of mind, and it's a double-edged sword!

Total silence usually works best for me, till I get bored. Then it generally works out well for whoever is at my table. :)

It depends on your mood. Sometimes silence is the best option, especially when you're playing after a hard day at work. And sometimes, on the contrary, music can help you stay focused and dynamic.

Poker and music are the perfect combination for me. But to each their own, and if it bothers someone, they can play in silence.

I prefer silence. Music distracts me, even if it's calm background music.

I use music to keep my energy up on a long session or tournament but often no music ..depends on my mood that day or energy level ..or possibly if I'm streaming it to give people more to watch and or listen too while a person grinds and banters back and forth

Do you play better with music on or total silence? I usually throw on some chill beats, but sometimes I feel like it distracts me from paying attention to betting patterns.
For the past few years, I've been listening to the news almost all the time while playing. There's a war going on in Ukraine, the orcs have attacked us, and the news is very important to all of us. But before the war, I used to listen to music quite often. Music and poker are a good combination, but overall it all depends on your mood.

When I listen to music while playing, it is mainly music for meditation or sleep. Personally, in my case, this type of music is most conducive to my concentration.

I used to listen to music but it was a distraction to my game. When I starred to listen to meditation music it helped me alot to keep calm. I list to this now when playing live as well.

I play with music or some podcast, but if I start feeling busy I pause it for a while.

I usually play with music on and fairly loud, mostly because it makes the session feel more enjoyable and helps time pass faster. That said, there are moments when I play without music and try to focus more deeply on the game, especially if I want to pay closer attention to betting patterns and dynamics. Overall, I don’t really feel that my level of play changes much between playing with music or in total silence.
