When is enough, enough? Unacceptable behavior at the poker table

I would refuse trash talking but also players who announce the cards they fold while the hand is still running.
I don't like bad winners as well: I hate the guy who taunts you since he was lucky enough to river his backdoor straight versus the set you had flopped
And I generally don't like people who try to influence your decisions by talking.

If I had the strong feeling that he is cheating against me . I would then leave the table . Also if he was a complete as***le , against me or any other . If he was totally disrespectful and irritating or disgusting one way or another , then I would search for another table to sit in and play

There's no way I'd leave a live table, but some behaviors would be denounced in an instant. Offensive language i don't tolerate and should be the offensive player to leave.
On the other side, if rules were broken and the dealer did nothing, I would make everything to someone get him out of there or punished later.

Any rude comments directed towards women at the table shouldn't be tolerated by anyone so I would hope I wouldn't be the only one saying something to that individual. In general there's a line that trash talking shouldn't cross - when it gets insulting, belittling or just outwirght mean to another player.

If a player insults another player and emotionally "terrorizes" him with verbal communication, it is to be condemned in all kinds of ways, and the leader of the room must act in all kinds of ways, and the insulting player must be warned to stop insulting, otherwise he will be banned.
It's easier online because you can turn off the player's messages in the chat. 😉

Maybe I wouldn't get to the point of getting up and leaving, what I would do is call someone responsible for organizing the event, or maybe even a security guard at the place and report what was happening, and demand that action be taken, that's it. what I would do.

When players not in the hand discuss what they folded I find this not in the spirit of the game and also possibile cheating/collusion.

I would leave immediately if another player was obviously sick and coughing and sneezing all over the table without covering their filthy mouth and nose. No tissues, so they keep wiping their nose with their hands then smearing snot all over the chips - GOODBYE.

I am generally very patient and very calm, and it takes a lot of effort to get me off balance. But if someone insults me, I become angry and can injure. If an opponent at the table tries to insult me, I will help him leave the table I am playing at without thinking twice.

If a person is too talkative in situations in which he does not participate, or behaves indecently and is drunk. If they can't transfer him to another table or ask him to leave it, then I will do it, I can't say any other reasons.

Any sort of threatening behavior (physical or otherwise) would be enough to leave.

Also if a player was throwing some angle out and floor would not intervene this would be grounds for me to leave also.

I can tolerate a lot but things that I won't are: personal insults along the lines of "see you next Tuesday" (which I had said to me once online except he used the word), touching me other than offering a handshake or fist bump, and aggression or the insinuation of aggression directed towards me. Luckily I've never really come up against any of those things, and that may be because I primarily play tournaments where overall people seem to be better behaved. I'd leave the table if I had a reasonable belief that I was in imminent danger of another player actually attacking me.

I will not tolerate abusive people. I am also not talk about rude players or people trying to tilt me but abusive to me and my fellow players. I have gotten up a few time to leave due to players just crossing that line and both time they were abusing the lady's at the table. Many of them don't play live that I know play online or in our poker groups as they dont feel comfortable going to he casino and playing in a room of 100 players and they are the only one or 1 of say 2 or 3 playing in the good old boys room as my friend put it. One time when I had enough was hen the player was just going after my friend relentless in the game and just getting personal. Even the dealer and floor were starting to tell him to come down but he would not. Right in the middle of the hand I stood up grabbed my chips and said I wont play with this A@#Ho%$ and walked to the cage. I was stopped and and asked why i was leaving and told them why, 5 minutes later that jerk was escorted out of the room. Sadly, my friend has not gone back to the poker room since.

It is a real shame that your friend had that experience. Sad to hear that she hasn't played since, though I can't really blame her. I place most of the fault for situations getting to that point on the staff for letting it get started in the first place. I play in Connecticut and New Hampshire where there are a lot of women players and, at least in the tournaments, I've never seen anyone get out of line like that. Especially in NH it is a very small and localized group of players so maybe that is the reason,

Hopefully she decides to try it again and doesn't have such a horrible time.

If my opponent insults me, it will be a reason for me to end the game and leave the table. I will leave the table and knock out the teeth of this rude opponent and think that will be the end of the game.
I've been boxing for almost 10 years, and I know how to knock out teeth. Although I am already retired and have health problems, my shot is very well placed

But what is interesting in this famous example is that he is just being annoying as his personal strategy. For what we know so far, he never cheated or used any abusive language, for example. He is just annoying. And a great poker player should know how to handle people like this and accept the fact that they exist and someday we will play vs. one of them.

However, truly unacceptable behaviors are trying to cheat or obtain some illegal advantage, and also using abusive language. As long as the person is being annoying in his/her acting, ok, but when it comes to personal attacks or some illegal stuff like angle shooting, there is no acceptance or respect. Or he/she leaves, or I leave.

Other people's cards and chips are inviolable. No matter what happens, you have no right to touch them. If a card intended for another player gets to you during distribution, let him take it himself.Very often, players blame the dealer for all their failures. The opponent has one out, a random straight is closed, and the dealer is immediately bombarded with curses and threats. Because of this, few people last long in such work.Personally, I would be indifferent to insults and would not pay attention; I have strong nerves.

Foxwood is a great place to play at and they would have taken care of the situation for sure before it got to that point. I open she goes back to playing live as well but it's been about 6 years now. She does play online but just has no urge to play live anymore last i talked to her. She was a really good player too. Hope all is good with you Emily.

For all obvious reasons (verbal abuse and/or shouting from one of the players or being drunk at a table with visible incapacity of playing poker) the dealer would (or should) see those and call the floor manager to remove that player from a table.

But if there was some loud annoying music in the background (in the other part of casino) that would bother only me but not others or some "smelly" player beside me that would encourage me to get up from a table and leave (and that stands only if a play cash game, if I'm involved in tournament I would probably stay and hope he will be busted or change table (or myself)).
