If it's illegal, just don't bother with it. It's not only ILLEGAL but it is also more stress for you to worry about. I'm sorry that it is difficult in Australia but Americans have been going through it as well and you just need to find a room that fits.

Case in point, just don't do anything illegal. Do you want to worry about your money that you played for/with to be taken because of this? Just do the right thing and you'll be fine.

ACR is the only site at the moment although Live poker seems to be on the rise over the last 6-12 months

ACR and igniton are the only option apart from Live.

I play a mixture of both ACR and ignition, with a few nights a fortnight of 888pl or APL.

Try to get to crown casino when I can for a bit of 1/2 or 2/5..

We in the poker community need a worldwide lobby organization with strong well known leaders from many countries (not necessarily poker pros) to convince governments that this ridiculousness has to stop! It is spreading around the world like a bad virus. I used to play a lot of online backgammon and then partly due to effects of black Friday one by one of the backgammon sites either closed down or prevented Canadians from playing. I worry that one day I go to log on pokerstars and get a screen telling me that this server can no longer be accessed in my country of residence.

I agree it's bullsh#t ...... the poker site should still let you play freeroles, just not allow you to withraw until the law here changes.. the law doesn't need to change anyways... pokerstars knows this.

Not sure why you don't think Ignition is credible. They are by far the biggest poker room operating in both the US and Australia.

Is there any way to play now? The ban started on the 11/9. Vpn won't work, pokerstars somehow knew I was using one! Is playing with cryptocurrency illegal?

I do not advise you my dear friend to play with Vpn, as pokerstars and other rooms can simply block your account with your funds and you can never return them.:eek2:

Anyone else notice the Sydney Opera House web page doesn't exist anymore (WPN from Australia), I get the following
"404 Oops! Page not found"

When clicking on partners from WPN web site the following happens

ACR, True & Ya ------> "404 Oops! Page not found"

But with Black Chip you actually get to the web site and can even download the s/w.
