Does the "suggestive" use of emojis in online poker annoy you?

While I was playing a sit and go on PokerStars, a female posted a kissy emoji in the chat to me. I find that sort of offensive especially because she there was too little cloth to cover her body properly.

I guess I just get annoyed by people who hyper-sexualise themselves and then expect others to like that.

Is it just me or does anyone else find this behaviour offensive?

Try to make lots of quality posts and achieve platinum status so you can play in the freerolls. I look forward to dressing in the skimpiest outfit I can find and sending you lots of kisses!

You getting annoyed & offended is no-one's responsibility but your own.

Lots of cultures kiss in greeting, and plenty of cultures also have civil liberties such as allowing society to dress as they please without judgement or prejudice regardless of gender, race, religion or sexuality.

How about ancient tribe cultures around the planet? Should they do away with their traditional dress and cover up for you? :)

A good little expression is 'live and let live'.

How would you feel if an absolute hottie trotted up to you in thigh-high boots, a micro mini-skirt (resembling dental floss) and told you that your attire offended their sensibilities and that you should dress & behave differently?

You'd probably feel like they had no right to tell you how to live your life, right?

Well guess what...

"And wherefore is he wearing such a conscience-striken air?
Oh they're taking him to prison for the colour of his hair." A. E. Housman

Furthermore, how can you say without doubt this person was a female?

A certain female chief constable would find it offensive if you did it to her.

Is this a joke?
Cause if not you know that most definitely is not a woman, I would be willing to bet my house. And if it offends you that much you do know on Stars you can block player images and switch chat off if you so choose.

A kissy EMOJI with too little cloth to cover her body properly? Definitely never seen that one before. But to answer your question - no not at all.

Well that i'm sure was a part of a strategy to beat you.
Not quite the reaction a barely dressed up lady was looking from a man after sending him kisses, but she 'offended' you, making you play worse, perhaps.
So i'll certainly take notes
:smokin:

Also. I bet you wouldn't mind barely dressed up ladies on your table in live poker .

Every time I sit at a table people spam emoji's/throwables at me. It's really tilting sometimes, sometimes I am amused by it however.

Also, if all of that is really annoying you can disable the emojis, and disable the throwables as well as block the image all while keeping chat open if you wish.

If you find a naked emoji bothering then it must not take much to put you on tilt!!!!!! You may want to find a different game to play LOL!!!!!!!!!! I have been on tables where a naked emoji wouldn't be noticed with the trash talking going on so how would you ever handle that? If you will be continuing playing poker you may want to practice ignoring the little things!:D:D

Welcome to the internet

Doesn’t surprise me in the slightest how some here seem plenty offended by the “suggestive” emojis.

Lol. Suggestive in an 80’s tv “very special episode” kind of way.

Can’t deal with these? Stay in the freerolls where you all can be the superstars you’re convinced you are. Let the grownups play for real stakes.

The chat and throwables are a pure distraction and I keep them disabled all over my poker rooms.
One should look at internet as a Kindergarten playground, hence no offense possible here.

The person could be male and pretty sure that it was to irritate people and be provokative. The "strategy" reminds me of a psychology experiment a college friend did a few years back to test attraction and focus.

But let me ask you. Would you mind a barely dressed V. Beckham or David Beckham on your live poker while you are in the middle of a big pot while are about to draw a royal flush?
Personally I think poker is more exciting. The way you make it sound... Do you play poker at a strip club or bordell?

Relax, i was joking :D
But answering your question. No. I would definately not mind at all.
I would be happy as schnike. :D
And i tell you, that would even help me to overcome my emotions about drawing royal flush.
My natural instincts would come on top but that does not mean my brain would turn off.
Im a strong grown up man. It would even help me to squeze as much from a hand as possible.
But thats certainly not always the case with poker players. Most time it would certainly mess up their game.
Answering your another question - Yes, i would definately play in strip club.
Cause i know thats probably more of advantage for me then for other players.

The throwables in pokerstars are the best thing ever btw .You need to take it lightly .In my opinion emojis or light heckling just add more fun to the game .No need to play it so serious and just loosen up ;)

You can disable aurora in the pokerstars settings and you will not be bothered by such things:)
