Ive played with ahud and its good information however, not every hand is played the same way so

the value of this is the expectation that players will conform to a pattern and this is likely a trap.

Author, your post would have been relevant 5 years ago. In most rooms today HUD is prohibited, if it is not prohibited yet, then the room is confidently moving towards it. There is nothing difficult to draw conclusions about the opponent based on his actions and give him a certain mark, and in the future play against him accordingly

Using HUD is akin to a male olympic swimmer shaving his legs and armpits to cut down on drag...guess what...99.9% of those shaving swimmers are still going to lose to the Michael Phelps of the world...basically, the advantage is so minute, especially in lower stakes games, that it is not worth the time to keep checking on your opponents traits.
