Power outage or internet

HAve lost the power several times over the years. Usually in the summer time then a thunderstorm hits and we lose power. I have had more issues with the internet going on me tho. Fios finally hit my Area in June and I am happy to say its been much better and have had no really issues since. Nothing worse than being heads up in a tournement with a nice chip lead and loosing the internet.

My cell phone almost always runs out of battery when I'm about to enter the bubble or after. It's happened that my connection has dropped and I haven't been able to get back to the tournament in time... tragic.

Well... if we aim for something professional we should aim at more than one internet company to have a backup.
There's not much to do against power outages, maybe switch to the phone if it still has internet.

It is extremely annoying to have a bad connection for online games. Depending on your need more actions can be taken to avoid disconnections and the like.

my computer crashes lots if ACR is open and on Everygame i get 'error reports' and the site closes . still not sure if the issue is my old laptop or the poker sites and poor programming. in any event , i cant risk more than about 5 bucks under those conditions !

It's very frustrating.
It happened to me many years ago in my city when the power went out due to a tornado storm, and therefore the internet was cut off.
I was playing a very important tournament for me at Unibet Poker, and I had been playing for 2 hours on a break in fourth place when the power went out and the Internet went out.
He didn't come back until the next day and when I saw the next day to see if by chance I could have entered the prize, it wasn't like that, they threw me out.
Things in life dear friend, at the time it was very frustrating for me but I moved on as usual. As the saying goes “a stumble is not a fall”

Yeah it can be very frustrating. Luckily I have a backup plan with my mobile cell phone hotspot. When my main internet source goes out for any length of time quite often when it gets back going again pokerstars will think Im from Ontario and I cant play. So then I have to unplug the modem and wait at least 15 minutes and then plug back in. Sometimes I have to repeat the process a few times until I get an IP number from a province other than Ontario. My ISP is headquartered in Ontario and it seems that about half the randomly assigned IP numbers are from Ontario and half from other provinces.
