Robots in poker, myth or reality

I think that sooner or later we will come to this, robots will play poker, or maybe they are already playing, in our world in an avalanche of daily information it is not always possible to track some things. But you shouldn't be afraid of robots, people are still one step smarter.

I always thought this robot theme was just a fiction. But the fact is that you can write a program that can play poker better than a man. The only question is, is this program used by cheating players or possibly by service providers?

I think it's totally possible. But I see that the top sites care a lot about maintaining a bot-free environment. Everyone has very strict policies when it comes to cheating, GGPoker for example, detects and does not accept that any helper software runs together, so much so that it has developed its own hud attached to the site. And even if it is possible, the risk of being discovered, banned and having all your funds blocked by the site, is an inhibitor, I may be talking nonsense but I believe that developing, maintaining or buying software like this probably requires a lot of resources.

I am not sure but I do think robots do play online poker. They add them to make the game have enough players. They are good and help to add to the numbers of players.

I just really can't believe it how naive the people are, generally, and making opinions, even most of them declare as fact without the smallest effort to make their own research.

It is still not the really profitable bots - and some sure just a scam -, what you can find on the real internet, not on the public one for the sleepers. (4-5% of the real internet, guess most of the people don't know that either.) And these ones are available on the "we care you, we are for you, legal, monitored etc., etc. search engines (on all), as they earn money for rank them first, so they p*ss off everything else....

I know, I don't know how people can keep saying they do not believe in them, it's proven and you can program a bot with perfect GTO although maybe alter it a bit so its not quite perfect but it does not have to sit there and work out all the odds.

The below is from a chess article but it's the same principle:-

Regarding your poker game, I don't know if we've played at the same table. I play OK poker sometimes...

MYTH! Ask R2-D2 and C3-PO and they'll tell you that they've got better things to do than play poker and that it's probably just Chewbacca on a consistent good luck streak.

On a serious note, I'm wondering if they have developed, like they did for table tennis and pool, physical robots who sit behind a screen and work out those suited connectors like there's no tomorrow.
