well, probably from $ 200, this will probably be a large amount of withdrawal at the moment. Perhaps for some this is a ridiculous amount. If I'm not mistaken, anything over $56 in the lottery starts to be taxed with us. (but this is not accurate, I read it a very long time) and poker is generally prohibited.

So basically we should have paid 28% of the winning, but I've never heard anybody write it tho his tax declaration. (I've never cashed out any real money from poker sites tho)

28% its a lot.. I think there should be at least some tresholds

In Poland, playing poker online is illegal, so there are no taxes. But the law is dead, so no one has yet been punished for playing like this.

In the USA we have to report it on our annual tax return. If you itemize your deductions you can deduct what you lost. Records will be required for this so if you play tourneys, like I do, keep all of your receipts. This applies to lotteries as well.

In my country, Denmark, there are a limited amount of licensed pokerrooms. From these sites you pay zero % in taxes. Unlicensed pokerromms are not illegal, however you must pay 38% in winnings from these sites. Conclusion: 99% of Danish pokerplayers play at licensed rooms. For instance PokerStars, Partypokerer, Unibet Poker. Alas, the world’s largest pokerroom - GG Poker - isn’t allowed in my country.

i live in Canada, and so far there is no tax, imagine if they start charging taxes, then you should be able to claim your losses at the table, they would be ruined! They would pay out more than take in on taxes.

I don't really care about taxation on poker and gambling. In my country the Casino/pokerroom has to pay it not the player.
The only way I would need to pay taxes from my winnings is when I declare it my main income , which it's certainly not ^^

In Hungary, nobody knows anything - and i suppose nobody pays, at least i dont know anybody.

Anyway, it is the pure gov maffia stealing category. The simple taxing is pure stealing, but it is double taxing category, so even worse.

That is not true....

If the prize comes from a game organized on a foreign website, then after the income the private individual must pay the 15% "SZJA" tax and the 13% "SZOCHO" tax.... ( according to the Hungarian law, this is illegal income and after pay the taxes it will be "legal")
If you play on the 2 (3) hungarian websites (that pay taxes in Hungary) you don't need to pay taxes after your prizes.

I think it's 13% in Belarus, on your overall annual income, it not matter gambling or whatever like trading, dividends, prizes. Small single sums could be not counting.

In Kazakhstan, I withdrew about $200 several times, and I did not receive anything from the tax office. Perhaps they will pay attention to me when I withdraw a slightly larger amount.

In Argentina is very poorly regulated. Is really difficult to get some information about it.

I found that the tax is 2.5% in deposits in sites registered in Argentina, and up to 7.5% in sites that are not registered.

The site has to pay the tax in first place, is the site don't do it, then the player has. (this is very confusing cause the player has to find out if the site pays or not, and if it's registered or not).

And there's other tax for "unespected incomes", but I don't know how big the incoming has to be. The tax I think that is like 40%.

In Belarus, the tax is 13% for money coming from abroad from any amount of income, and even if you returned your previously lost money. The main thing is that you need to declare the receipt of money yourself before March 1 next year, after that the tax authorities will calculate the amount and it must be paid by June 1 next year.
You can not submit anything, but the tax authority sees all the receipts and if they find you, you will have to pay a fine and again a 13% tax.

It's correct information, aside from the terms. You had to declare till March 1st and pay till May 1st previously, then, a few years ago, the terms were moved a bit -- declaration till March 31 and payment till June 1st.
