I think the ratio is 30/70. That is, 30% is luck and 70% is skill. Although, of course, there are different days and on such different days these percentages can also have a different ratio. But speaking in general, in my opinion, it is 30/70.

In order to answer this question, it may depend on the level of poker you are playing. Freeroll poker tournaments are probably something like 80% luck, with many players going all in with nothing. You will find more skill at the $1-2 tables, even more at the $5-10 and still a higher level of skill at a $100-200 table. You know what they say (I don't know who "They" are)...the more skilled you are, the more luck you have.

It is all luck, just look at rhe variances at the stqacks at any tournie, they are huge; some players have huge stacks because they are lucky, hugely, , they stay lucky and double up more than oncded. IUf it seems like you never have the huge stack, its probably bedcause you are not a luck magnet; not your fault at al.

the more you play, the less luck intereferes. It's simple math, Poker is about statistics and the more you play, less variance you face, and then your decision making takes place.

However, it's also when you face your bad decisions results hahaha

Perhaps skill is <70% & luck is >30% when you win a tournament. Can't win a tourney with pure luck. The question is could you survive to win a tournament? That is another story. Need a bunch of luck to survive 'em big tourneys.

The more skill a player has the less is the percentage of luck needed to win and reverse.

In my view, poker is both luck and skill, but the ratio depends on time and stakes. In short term or freerolls, luck can be 60-70% because anyone can win with crazy hands. But over long run, skill matters more—maybe 70% skill and 30% luck.

Higher the stakes, more the skill level. Luck may win you a hand, but skill wins over time. 😊

It doesn't matter how well you play, when the dealer wants to kill you.. you will die😜

Poker is a game of luck and skill. The luck is needed short term to win hands for a profitable for session. Skill and Volume should reduce the amount of luck over the long term

I would say 60% skill and 40% Luck. You can be the best player in the world but
if the poker Gods are not on your side forget it.

I believe it's about 70% skills and about 30% luck. With some margin of error.

I think that depends on if you're thinking short term or long term.
The longer you analyze, less relevant luck should be, IMO.
At a shorter term (a single tournament for example), "luck" could knock you out even playing correctly, or lead you to a final table even after a big mistake.

In general, I think 70% skills and 30% luck, for experienced players. For beginners or professionals, this percentage will be different.

Its not really an "opinion", its a mathematical formula involving terms like standard deviation, the Bell curve etc. In the short term luck dominate completely, but as you play more and more, skill become more and more determining for your results. And of course game selection. If you are the 10. best player in the world but always play against the 9 best players, you are still going to lose.
