Full, standard 9 table for me. playing on a table of 6 is fine, i just consider it more final table practice with the more open ranges.

I prefer short handed play 6max, 4max, Heads Up. Most players are quite bad short handed and I can play far larger percentage of my hands and will have a large skill advantage.

8/9max tend to be extremely tight games and a bit dull.

Hi

The table of 6 is very good but the probability of hitting is very high for everyone.
However, there are few tournaments with 6 people, usually most of them have 8,9 or 3 zoom types.

I absolutely love heads up poker! I am a very competitive guy and there's no better way to find out if you are better than someone than playing them heads up. However, I know the question is more geared towards 6 max or full ring preferences, so I am going to have to go with 6 max. It's much easier to exploit opponents; less notes to take; and much more likely to get heads up with someone that in a full ring game. However, if you are a really solid player there may be more profit at a full ring table than a 6 max

Of course I prefer full tables for 9 people.
But I'm interested in playing 10 people at a table, how different is that.

They are fantastic! I came to online from playing live at Foxwoods and that was on 10 player tables...I love them! :)

I love 9 player tournaments because there is more time to wait for the right card. But sometimes I also play 6 player tournaments.

I prefer 6 players. Otherwise the odds are that there are toom many people willing to play their hand. I prefer going head to head with only one opponent.

For SNGs I prefer definitely the 6-max turbo format, but for MTTs I like more the full ring tables. I often multi-table more in MTTs than in SNGs and therefore the longer rounds are easier to play. Less stress. :D

9 Table

I prefer playing at a 9 person table. Like playing Omaha H/ L bomb pot tables. Some pretty nice pots come from this format.

I only play 9 player tournaments, it is my favourite type. 6 or less player tournaments are not for me, never won money on them.

Actually it is more the opposite, the more the players, better odds of being beat. This is why you raise with a monster, to narrow the field. I liked 8 before because my blinds lasted longer. Now that I have improved, I find 6 max makes for a better game.
