Be honest — is it soft fields, fast payouts, rake, UI, trust, community… or something else?

Curious what really matters to grinders here.

For me it is fast payouts! Cause when you sure in poker room withdrawals you play without any thoughts like HOW long my funds will be processing :)

The one thing that really makes or breaks my online poker experience is how I handle bad beats, especially against weaker players. Losing to bad decisions can be very frustrating, but I’ve learned that accepting this as part of the game is essential. When I stay calm and focused, I can continue playing my best game. When I don’t, frustration quickly affects my decisions. Managing those moments is what truly defines my overall experience.

There are so many factors that influence the game in poker... tenacious caution, moral and volitional qualities, confidence, sporting calm... a lot, to name but a few...)))

For me, it’s trust. If I don’t trust the platform — game integrity, bot detection, fair RNG, timely payouts — nothing else really matters. Soft fields and good UI are nice, but without trust, the experience falls apart.

Right after that, I’d say player pool quality and rake structure. Tough, over-raked games kill motivation fast.

But if I had to choose just one thing? Transparency and integrity. Without that, it’s hard to grind with confidence.

For me it’s a mix, but soft fields and trust come first. There’s no point chasing good rake or bonuses if the games are tough or the site feels sketchy. After that, smooth software and reasonable payouts matter a lot, especially if you play regularly. Community and support are nice bonuses, but good games and reliability are what keep me on a site long term.

If the UI is broken, and is a massive resource hog that frequently crashes (like WPTG in the past), that's the deal breaker. Cannot have the client crash mid-hand. It can have everything else and still nothing would matter without the UI.

Region restrictions definitely are the biggest deal breakers for me, having to look for other platforms because of that is just unfortunate.
Some clients are poorly optimized so that takes away the fun as well, I can not handle a lag filled session lol, I've had many near miss clicks because of it.

Imagine your game crashing in the middle of a hand when you have aces 😹

I am not sure, what UI is, or what you mean by community? But the other 4 are all important for sure.

Yup - don't have to imagine - been there! Fortunately it was going to be a bad board so it worked out for the best that time.

Trust, security, has a license/tested RNG, a site that doesn't do scummy things is transparent and a site that has longer blind level MTT's(10+ min). Many will hate this but for all those things Pokerstars still tops the heap after 20+ years and it's not even close. Even with it's and all the changes Pokerstars still stands far away above the rest when it comes to those 5-7 things.

I could be bribed enough to forget about those things but no site is going to pay what it cost to bribe me as it's a lot more then some nickel and dime freerolls/promos. I don't come cheap.

Cheers!!!

For me it's daily gifts, giveaways, freerolls and special offers, free gifts over all of them. Flipout registrations. All the things that enable you to rise from zero, build a bankroll, participate in tournaments. Yes, the online platfoems want to keep me in the game, but I also want to be kept in it, so it's a win-win situation.

Não tenho certeza do que é UI (interface do usuário) ou o que você quer dizer com comunidade. Mas os outros quatro itens são todos importantes, com certeza.
The user interface can awaken and calm the player in their own vision of the game, and the community can help to understand how other players are doing, as well as providing information and learning opportunities.

Well, most of online poker sites nowadays are rigged. That's the biggest disapointment I could ever have playing poker.
Not a surprise though.

WPT is a total scam, I don't recomend it. Choose another one instead.

If one is a scam then all are a scam. You can either be profitable on them or not. I have tried pretty much all of the major sites. You can't possibly have one in mind that is somehow different than all the others. (Don't say base poker)

Well, firstly they're different and unrelated companies, so yes, there could be and most likely there is a difference between them.
Secondly, my winrate seems to be very different in WPT than it is in other sites. Plus the bad beats are almost aways very absurd.

I've played in many sites too, many times. I know bad beads will happen, but the ones I've got in WPT are aways weird. Aways.

But since I can't prove any of this, we'll have to agreed in disagree.

As soon as a site demands my I.D. at the point I try to withdraw I blacklist the site in my mind and go and play elsewhere. If they asked when I'm about to deposit I would gladly share it with them.

The most important thing is fast payouts. Otherwise, there's no point in playing on the poker room at all. Next comes the availability of tournaments with a suitable structure, and thirdly, a user-friendly interface.
