Hello friends, greetings to all members of this community, I have been registered on this website for 5 years, however, I have not made any major posts, so it is time to do so; My motivation has been to want to return to the online poker tables.

I am an amateur online poker player, I have never played live poker in any form, be it with real or play money, the first online poker site that I signed up for was PokerStars, thanks to a TV ad for a poker tournament. Europe and I was curious to learn about the game, to see how to learn to play it, that was 13 years ago, in November 2009; I started looking for information to learn the game, I read various tutorials, guides and various online portals where the subject is discussed.

That year 2009 began my journey in this game, I fell in love with it, I was passionate about it and little by little, I was learning how to play it; I must admit that I saw various TV programs where they broadcast part of a Poker tournament, and I saw how players won and took huge amounts of money, remaining Champion and among the best paying positions, that fascinated me, I said to myself, I must I want to be one of them, I want to win a lot of money and transform my life overnight, and well, I registered at PokerStars and started playing online, always with the dream and the illusion of dedicating myself 100% to this beautiful game. , make a lot of money and travel the world.

My goal at that time was in the year 2009, to play and live from Online Poker, wow it was the great dream that I wanted to achieve and achieve, I don't know if some of you have lived or felt that for Poker, perhaps many of you will feel identified with my words, I hope so.

Thanks greetings…

Welcome back. Aaah... I miss those days of watching Mike and Vince in exotic locales, commenting on people playing cards for the biggest piles of $$$ I had ever seen on TV. It was definitely a motivator.
I too started on PS's back in late '08. PS's and Full Tilt and Ultimate Bet and Doyle's Room and the Merge "freeroll tour"... Fk yeah! I was hooked. I remember trying to get internet to the house but nobody had the tech to help out here in the "boonies", so I had to use dial-up. Oh yeah; it was like pulling teeth. Waiting 2-3 hours for the site to download/update. Lag upon lag upon lag. It sucked but that's all I had and was fkng happy to have it.
I watched everything I could and read even more. Bluff and Poker Pro magazines were all over the house, not to mention a couple of poker books. I had a small aspiration to make a living in the poker world, either online or live. But then the USDOJ stepped in and fkd it all up. Thank you G.W. But I digress.
Yeah, it's been a roller-coaster for all of us in the online poker community, I'm certain. I still play in micro-stakes sng's and mtt's and freerolls from time to time. I can't play at PS's anymore for real $ but I do play some other top US friendly sites. My main focus, right now, is on live games but playing online keeps me sharp in between games.
I hope you do well and have fun and may the flop be with you. GL man.

It seems to me that most players, especially young ones, dream of big winnings, a successful poker career, etc. when they start playing poker. Poker TV shows have always been and will be exactly the show, the entertainment part of poker.
I remember how I was introduced to poker in general. Oddly enough, it was also around 2009-2010. I was a 2nd year student at the university, and my classmate introduced me to poker. I remember every Sunday I called him up in some popular messenger at that time and we sorted out some interesting distributions in my opinion. But it was funny that when we saw each other at the university and I started talking about poker again, he really didn’t like it, because he believed that there is a time for ordinary life and there is a separate time for poker. And at that time, poker and everything connected with it simply swallowed me up. Poker forums, books, videos, etc.
But again, it's about poker TV shows that I've always considered only as entertainment content.
