I'm more of a slow thinker, which means I often struggle to figure out the best move within the 10 seconds allowed during a hand. As a result, I often rely on instinct rather than sound logic. Does anyone else experience this?

If I am in a bubble, then I let the timer go to the end, if the situation at the poker table is favorable for me, then 1-3 seconds.

slow thinker. Pokersites should give players at least one 3 minutes time back to use once in a tourney

I think I am like most where its easier to make decisions in situations that you have seen before and takes longer to make decisions in new situations.

This is where studying often really helps-- it makes certain decisions automatic allowing us to make strong decisions in less time:geek:

I don't see anything wrong with thinking slowly, thinking over every action of the opponent and counting the number of outs to win. Humans are not robots. You should not make hasty decisions, there is time to think on every street.

Fast almost all the times, I only take more time when I'm playing too much tables at the same time or trying to change my image on the table.

Sorry, I have to give this some thought. I'll try to remember to get back to you tomorrow.

in order to avoid this, you need more practice and theory, and then you will be able to play several tables at the same time. For example, I play 9 tables in cash

This is usual, I make decisions very quickly and because I play every day, over time the decisions you make become kind of automatic because you do this very often.

When I have played chess, when I am on a timer, I so lose to fast thinkers. When I have no time limit, I can beat a fast thinker. When I am on no time limit, I can easily take 20 to 35 minutes late in the game and be comfortable that I have neutralized any threats. When I am in a time limit, like less than 3 minutes between moves, I am so frozen in place that my moves make no sense, that I do a move just because my time is up.

the more you play (& review/study) the stronger your intuition will be... resulting in your play ('thinking') becoming much faster

I also had this problem, but over time my mind became sufficiently trained and I started making quick and high-quality decisions. It's a matter of experience. In two or three years, you won't even remember this problem, of course, if you continue to play regularly until then.

I play my hands quickly. I think there's not much to think about, you can only see your cards and the ones in the center

I often played 4-6 tables of cash. Have to think fast to do that.

With MTTs, you can, of course, multi-table even more since many decisions are all-in or fold at the endgame level.

I started playing poker about 5 years ago and the first months I also thought a lot and often didn't have time. It made me angry. But I kept going, tried hard, and in fact, a year later, I was playing two tables at the same time without much effort.
What helped me was visualisation, which was always in my head :)

You know how annoying it is when someone takes a long time to think? To prolong an already long game.... Sometimes I do a long pensive in response..... It annoys the long thinker and the whole table.)
