Nice! , this was also ruled by an Austrian judge but regardless of that our government shut down all cardrooms with mafia methods...intimidation , destroying poker tables etc 2 years ago..
Since then the state has a monopoly on gambling AND Poker 🙄

It really puts you in a spot, where you have to make decisions based on some mathematical, psychological factors. And of course processing the factor of luck and the factor of your own moves its also a learning process.
Because money can be involved a game doesn't mean its comes from a bad place. Many people also kill some money into their hobbies, or their jobs, and of course there are always investments which can turn out to be helpful for us or totally awful. Glad they took the time to understand this specific game better.

but of course he gets feedback from others .
Jury mostly, but in this case its just a simple look at the data. He doesn't even have to like poker, if the data suggests that poker is a game of skill he has to decide accordingly.

This is very good to know. In Brazil most of people look at me as a criminal or a crazy man when I say I play poker. Lol
Many people in Brazil believe poker is the same of slot machines and non regulated games that leads to addiction and have no logic.
I got myself tired of trying to explain my friends that poker is a game of mind, a sport like chess and poker has a scientific basis and logic that we cannot find in those pure gambling games that make people crazy and bet their lives off.
But even with this news many people won’t believe poker is serious. What is real funny is that many Brazilians have faith in the lottery games which have absurd negative odds to play (aka Mega Sena, like the American Super Ball).

Casinos I’m not sure they would allow it. But poker clubs existed before the legal approval.

I tend to think of poker more as a game of chance than a sport. At least in my understanding, poker is a game of chance. Poker is a strategy, it is a tactic, discipline, skill, experience and patience, however, in the process of the game there are monetary stakes and therefore it is primarily a game of chance.
