in my opinion, I think it's totally wrong, if the tournament is female, it's only for women to participate, have fun, study, compete and bet. none is less than the other, but if there are rules, they must be followed, otherwise it becomes a party

I don't know about Florida specifically, but I find it ironic that in the US, so many states have laws that prevent people using specific bathrooms, but anyone can enter a women's tournament. Seems a little like a double standard.

What bothers me is that regardless of what peoples' political beliefs are, there are people who live their lives as trans and have beliefs about what their identity is regarding gender. That's just a fact. They're not faking, even if you personally disagree with how they categorize themselves. If someone like that wants to join a women's tournament, then I think there can be an honest discussion about the subject, and I'm sympathetic to both sides of the discussion.

Someone pretending to be trans to make some smart-alecky point is a different situation, and I don't have any sympathy for their point. If they suffer social consequences for their behavior, also no sympathy from me. I'm okay with people having different beliefs, but don't be a jerk about it.

Unfortunately, no way to prevent it. Maybe, tourneys should focus on games for beginners or lower payouts and ignore gender. The idea is to get more players into the game in a less stressful environment.

Well, what bothers me about Charlie Carrel's point is not as the poster claimed it is 'interesting' but, in my opinion, it is sly and disingenuous.

I have followed Carrel since early days and I find many of the things he says dubious. At present, most will know that he is being cited at the center of Doug Polk's bullying and using the fact that (according to him) he was abused as a child. So I find what he says here odd and wrong note.

What? No, it doesn't at all, as no man entering such events is 'identifying' as a women'. If anything it's a chauvinistic pose taken as some men do not like women enjoying their own space.

Really, what insanity is that? Would that be women having their own space or that transgender issues are fraught and contested by many?
So this would be Charlie Carrell actually being unclear as he has been before and when asked to explain, Carrel by habit goes to that 'misunderstood place'.

There was no reason whatsoever for the transgender issue to be linked to the fact certain men feel the need to make a political point and enter a women's only poker format.

Most companies end up settling discrimination cases. Lady only events discriminates based on sex. Anti discrimination law prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, and other protected characteristics. The below is an interesting article.

I am not going to debate state laws with you - you have to figure it all out for yourself. The host of that event was bound by state law to allow him to enter the event. You can accept it or not. You are just being ridiculously silly about CC so ignoring that. If you (or any other guys) insist on playing in our Ladies events we will simply cancel them.

It's odd that I can only seem to find it out via work, and not games or sports that are set up for women! They need to fight back, and stop caving into the suits! I'm not into law, but I could make a very great point of why ladies events should only have ladies in them.

You can blame the feminist, on this taking place. The only news story's I can find are two guys suing places in CA, it would be their 41st suit for doing so. The owners taking on this crap from them can counter sue, proving that the 2 of them have a pattern of harassing all ladies events and get sued them self's. I've not seen this in any other state yet, 10 to 1 they are just wanting to crash ladies events. CC can keep running ladies games all you want to and keep guys out of it, you just need to show that some will harass the ladies. I've seen it in other games on here. I tend to jump on the other ones who are doing it and tell them to STFU when I see it.

Maybe it's stupid, but I see a way out of discouraging men from getting into our games in only one way: to set a really very high cost of entry to the tournament, and at the same time a very high percentage of discounts for women.
Something like: entry $20,000 and a 99.9% discount for women. 🙈🙉🙊
Thus, men will have no desire to fit into such an event, and if there is a crazy enthusiast, then women will be able to profit from it, since the prize fund will grow dramatically.
Although, I'm sure that this is also an impossible option, but you can dream.😄
