Going into the final day of the wsop ME 2025, Michael Mizrachi held an overwhelming chip lead with 178 Big Blinds while Jason Wasnock, Braxton Dunaway, and Kenny Hallaert had 55 Big Blinds between them. On top of his massive Main Event win, Michael has been "inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame by WSOP Chief Executive Officer Ty Stewart after Daniel Negreanu, Phill Hellmuth and other pros called for his “snap” induction for pulling off one of the greatest achievements in WSOP history".

Mizrachi earned his eighth WSOP bracelet and won $10 million.

When the best players in the world declare that they should be included "instantly" in the Poker Hall of Fame, what else can you do???😉😉😉

Also, under the image (in the article), there is a question that might be fun to try to answer.

If you were Dunaway, 3-handed in the big blind with T6 suited and 10 BBs, do you call all in or wait one more round? Big pay jump if you can wait and survive to 2nd place, but Mizrachi’s range was obv wide. Probably standard to call, but the nit in me says wait, bro. lol

Almost forgot: Congrats, Grinder!

Dunaway on his last hand, I guess he shoved rather than called all-in:

I guess you know the answer, but I only know the big boys, although many others are absolutely great.
But I'm not good with names or faces. Who are you again? 🤣
I only know 3

No. He called it off.
Mizrachi moved all-in from SB. Dunaway snap called in BB for ~10bb with the T6s
Bad call imo.

That’s incredible! Mizrachi is a true legend, and this Main Event win just adds to his amazing legacy. Being inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame right after the victory feels totally deserved — what a moment!

Ah ok, then I’m thinking some regret may be in order. Down to a few BBs? Then sure, but not a snap-call with that stack and those cards.

Awesome to see Jen Harman still hanging around. My favorite all-time female player. Showing my age here lmao.

Man I wish I could play the style Grinder plays and be a winning player. Sun run and luck aside dude plays his style perfectly. I love how no matter what cards he has he always looks so disgusted when he has to fold a hand. Never seen a guy hate folding so much lmao.

Cheers!!!

Doug Polk calculated the very small percentage of anyone winning all ten of the all in hands Grinder won, so I understand the run-good part. But I can’t help believing in a Fortune Favors the Bold element too. It’s probably hogwash but it seems like a thing sometimes.

Maybe fortune favors aggression, but runouts are runouts is more accurate.

The hand Grinder won with 25 million chips bet on the river vs two opponents was impressive(I believe Grinder had 5 8o, and both opponents missed their draws). His read was correct on that hand, I think he knew he could out-play that FT after he won the hand with both players having over 125 million chips.

Oh no doubt it's a very slim chance of winning all them runouts so he certainly had a good sun run that way. But overall the guy entered 12 events and had a 100% ITM% and won 2 of the biggest MTT's he played. He had to play some dam good poker in there somewhere. He didn't sun run the whole way thru the WSOP and all them 12 events.

I think the hardest part of Grinders is style is that he plays so many hands it's hard for a lot of guys to have the discipline, while keeping their emotions in check and know when to fold rather then just keeping ones foot on the gas all the time. Grinder has great feel and discipline for knowing when to find a fold. That's hard for guy who seemingly hates to fold more then he hates anything in life.

Some much aggression does drive out hands that should/could have won. So yeah I'd agree aggression/fortune favors the bold.

Cheers!!!

Michael is one of the worst people to let get a big stack.

He is an avid student of Matt Damon, and understands very well... that fortune favors the brave.
