Some things are only valuable when earned. This is like buying an Olympic Medal. Sure it’s cool to have but if you didn’t win it yourself, is it really that valuable?

Personally I would never want to buy one. However, I am sure there are some collectors out there that would probably buy this and others.

I am not sure he is going to get 50k for a bracelet he won in a $2500 Limit Omaha event though

Never. The only way I would want a coveted wsop bracelet would be to win it myself. I understand there are collectors and people who may want to buy one but that’s not me. Bracelets are very special achievements in poker, although now that they have so many events the allure has been diminished somewhat. Never the less I still hope to win one some day.

If I thought I could flip it for quick cash- yeah I'd buy it.
A '99 Omaha, won by WHO? Exactly.
IDK, highly doubt scrap comes close to 50k and the cool factor....eh, medium at best.
I'd pay 50k in a second for the 2018 WSOP main event bracelet. -- have to shuffle some things around but- YES- could get 50k quick if you got it and are interested :)
I'm sure there's guys out there wiling to pay much more than that.

Jostens are NICE- they make the superbowl rings too :)

So ,,, would I buy this guys '99 Omaha trinket for 50k? Nope. No way.
But hey- someone might.
And, if he needs the $ and the other party wants a bracelet they didn't win and likely can't resell for a profit. Eh- power to both. Enjoy :)

I don't see anything out of ordinary in buying a WSOP bracelet. It is a trophy after all. If some people pay more than $50 G for a stuffed lion killed by some hunter in Africa, there will be people willing to pay for a WSOP bracelet won by some little known poker player. Probably if one of the poker greats would sell one of his WSOP bracelets, it would fetch way more money.

I wonder whatever happened with this did he ever actually sell it on eBay? Someone should post an update about that LOL kind of silly who would ever spend 50k just to buy someone else's bracelet if they had that kind of money they could just buy into a few WSOP tourneys and try to win one themselves. Although over the years there have been a few guys that have actually sold their bracelets for money so I guess there's buyers for that

This prompted me to find out if, in fact, the bracelet was sold. But, I came to a dead end. There was another article (not ours) that wondered if the eBay ad was legit, though. That's all I was able to find.

I would rather keep it for my grandsons in the memory & kind of legacy ... but to buy somebody's bracelet ... that's weird!

No, it just makes sense for me to have a trophy that I won myself.

For me buying it would be pointless. But there are people who collect all kind of things
