On the one hand, I have to agree with John_3_16 when he says: "It is idiocy and ignorant to call this simple or easy to fix or avoid.... These attacks can be initiated with one press of an ENTER key. At any moment. They can change the parameters of the attack with a few lines of code. This allows the attack to bypass any new filters set up for security.... Huge corporations still suffer downtime because of these attacks."

I'm sure it is a more complex problem to deal with than most of us understand, and I have to assume that ACR is doing all they can since they are losing a lot of money and these attacks could potentially destroy their business.

On the other hand, I've never experienced any other corporate website being so affected in this way. For a poker network that's trying to brand itself as a major rival to Pokerstars and other major poker sites (boasting the largest GTD tournament in online poker, etc.) they really need to up their game in terms of tech and security, not only to mitigate these attacks but to prevent them.

With all due respect to ACR's efforts, you don't see this happening to Pokerstars every other day. There hasn't been an attack on Pokerstars since 2015, so they must be doing something that ACR isn't, and it is not our job as customers to figure out for them how to do this. The reason we're all so frustrated is because we care about ACR and want to play on it. Plus, there were actual consequences for the attackers in the Stars case. That also helps. See this article:

yes but that was not my question .....
I was saying a pot like chips in the middle .. were being played for .The Flop came out. then my opponent bet ...... then I tried to make my action ..... then the time clock activated .. the extended disconnect clock .. then my hand folded 200k chips went to my opponent making my chips stack less than what it should/could be so I get paid for 700k instead of 900k or 800 if the hand was undone ... since the ability to call / bet /raise was taken away by the Disconected Server ....... so my chip pay out gets effected by server fail ? the hand did not reach the end ... .....got paid out 10 $ for the game it seamed fair enough but did the Crash effect my payout ...? I would have folded the hand ..but that's not the point what if I would have re raised ... I could not defend the pot I was involved in .... hopefully its not one I would win next time right

Still 'Configuring'

To anyone having this problem. exit the program completely and then reopen the program. Several times in the last 48hrs or so I have opened the program to see the white lobby and configuring at top of screen and closed it right away then reopened the program normally so that may work for some others as well. Let others know if you have success doing that.

Finally able to login for now. This really has become a pain lately but nothing new. These attacks having been going on and off for at least 2 years now.

Just because you haven't visited a corporate site under DDoS attack, doesn't mean it isn't real.

Let's take GitHub, a software development site, was hit in early March with the largest DDoS attack in history. Experts predicted that this was an omen of things to come. And sure enough, ACR, BOL were hit a month later.

In between those attacks, CloudFlare was being aggressively probed and attacked. And what is one of CloudFlare's services? DDoS protection of all things. The cause of that attack was a botnet running thru compromised smart-watches and gadgets (IoT devices).

WordPress was hit last December. Banking was hit by a week long attack in the Netherlands. Winter Olympics in February, which had the Dept of Defense and Russian counterparts involved. And did you know that China gets hit with over 47% of all DDoS attacks?

And that Netherlands banking attack, guess who did it? A teenaged kid who thought it would be a cool thing to do and prove that it could be done. If a kid can get a bank to its knees, then nobody is safe. Not even PokerStars.

I just attempted to run and log on. The client started, downloaded a small update and this displayed the blank screen that said "Configured" as opposed to the usual "Configuring".


Closed it and restarted it. T he update worked. I am now logged in and everything seems to be working correctly. Thanks.

and again they were running earlier today not they are down. i thought stuff was fixed. i know on twitch a lot of people have with draw all there money from there ACR accounts and i think some people said that they were going to a different poker site.

yeah its up one min and down the next. i stupidly registered for a tournament and wasn't able to click any buttons for 3 blinds so I just gave up at that point. i would be more than cautious if anyone is registering for a tournament be prepaird to have it canceled or lagg. On another note ive seen quite a few of the bigger tournaments get cancelled. Its apparent that this DDOS attack is crippling their business. Ive sent withdraw requests twice with no luck yet.

Yep, same here. What is odd, is I can view other tournament lobbies except the one I am in. It is #8627715.

Sure enough...all tournaments cancelled...you guys are reprehensible...how can anyone want to play on your site with your fake "guarenteed" tourneys...its not a guarentee if you cancel it
