Which platform do you reccomend playing on? I've been on Pokerstars for a while now but I am looking for whatever has the softest competition & best rakeback/bonuses/promotions.

If you are allowed to play on PokerStars, there are no major reasons to play on ACR. Its an unregulated site, which makes withdrawals much more complicated, the software is not as good as that on PokerStars, and there is much less activity. I opened an account there a year ago, and while I do play on ACR from time to time, I have continued to put in way more volume on PokerStars. But no harm in trying it out of course :)

Okay if you are looking for smaller fields, rakeback, softest competition, ACR is an option. But, there`s no other like Pokerstars when you're talking about promotion (GG Poker is coming, but PS is the best for me).

ACR is so heavy on my laptop, the interfaces are so slow, damn, I love the PS hyper turbos!

Resuming: I reccomend ACR only when talking about softest field, for the other reasons, PS for sure.

For me, PokerStars is the best poker room and platform in the whole world! But if it is about recommendations, then 888Poker and AmericaCardRoom

Based on my limited experience I would call ACR significantly softer than PS. At least not to the point, where its a clear difference and more important than game selection or time at day. If I am to point out some objective advantages of ACR, then they are:

* Lower rake for MTTs below $22 and SnGs below $10
* Higher chance of finding MTTs with an overlay

As for the reward programs, I cant really compare, since PokerStars are not allowed by the regulators to offer any sort of rewards to swedish players apart from a 1-time sign-up bonus. But even with no rake-back or other rewards I still play way more on Stars than ACR. I does depend on your playing profile though. ACR have a weekly leaderboard for both cash games and SnGs, but you need to pay a ton of rake to get anything back from that.

I'm in a big money special freeroll on ACR right now and everything froze up (and has stayed locked ). horrible PR situation for a company trying to introduce their product to thousands of new players ( over 5k entrants !). this kind of BS happens regularly on ACR + BCP . that said , our US + friends homegame club freeroll on 'Stars froze a few days ago so they arent doung much better !

Americas CardRoom has several 5k freerolls. And the withdrawal falls into the account on the same day.

unregulated how? it has its domain in the EU and thus lies under the jurisdiction of the European Union.
If they didn't have a license in the EU they would be shut down immediately.

anyhow PS is far superior in any way of course

I play on two sites and they are both my favorites. These are PokerStars and 888. I also have an account on ACR, but I play there very rarely because there are no our CardsChat freerolls there.

What about the other 100's of thousands they have now given out in those 'Special' Freerolls?
Yes the software isn't as good as some other sites (seems to be a huge resource hog) and sometimes the sites have DDoS attacks.

I don't currently play that often on ACR (I should & would if I had more time) but I think they've come a long way. I remember back in Oct.2011 when DoylesRoom had been sold to AmericasCardRoom (a site that had been dormant since UIGEA in 2006) & began on the Yatahay network (that software was unbelievable... like I couldn't even imagine playing on there (but I did... a little bit, lol). You'd find maybe enough players to fill one table at just some of the different buyin levels. It felt unplayable. Yah.. so I think it's pretty decent now. (I preferred Carbon tbh)

If you're living in B.C. Canada, I'd recommend playing on many sites. GGPoker (pretty sure you're already playing on GG), 888poker, Partypoker & ACR too. I play on the different sites for different games, different time of day or just because I feel like it. When playing cash game I don't like to stay on one site for more than 1hr. I prefer to mix it up a bit.
Also, if playing tournaments, by having multiple sites available you are able to play a handful of games at similar buyin level and at similar starting time. ie. $10-$11 mtt's, you could be playing 1 or 2 (or more) from each site at the same time &/ 'OR' you could be playing all PKO's/knockout tourneys.

Hello I haven't played in ACR I play on 888poker - on GGPoker and on Pokerstars and I think the best one is Pokerstars. and if you are starting out it is the best because of the freerolls and bonuses they give

I have always heard it was classed as an unregulated site although I play there and like a lot of the games.
