Not convinced on having to convert money into their own crypto that can fluctuate in value, i.e. all your funds could become worthless.

Difficult to see the site appealing to recreational.players so I wouldn't expect it to be particularly soft, but I haven't played there so am just speculating.

Cash game rake is low tho, and current world championship is cool

I think their own crypto (CHP) is only used to pay the rake at the moment. If you don't hold any CHP then the rake comes from your USDT balance.

All the games are played in USDT.

They say the advantage is that if you use CHP to pay the rake they'll reimburse you 30%. I guess this might vary depending on how CHP performs.

I would recommend that you dont register at CoinPoker. Primarily because so few play there. It is desolated. Even at peak hours you will find max 40 cash players. I can see you come from Balticum. My guess is that there are better options in your country. I prefer PokerStars due to its fine reputation and huge player pool. 55.000 at peak hours.

If I can't get my money in and out almost instantly in a traditional currency I don't bother.

I prefer to play at long-established, reliable sites like 888 or PokerStars. As for the new ones, I play at GGPoker, but I only created an account there because our community had our freerolls there for a while. As for CoinPoker, I haven't played on this site and I haven't heard anything good or bad about it.

Right now there are 2143 players on Coinpoker, 2058 on PartyPoker and 20562 on Stars. Several hundred of the Coinpoker players look like they are in freerolls, but there's a reasonable spread of micro cash tables. I've only been there a couple of days so can't comment on how well it's playing.

The currency they use (USDT) is tied to the dollar, so 100USDT is $100. If you don't have crypto you'd need to get a DeFi wallet, like Metamask or Coinbase, and then buy from one of the crypto exchanges. I use Revolut as I have an account there already, and it's easy to transfer funds in. But there are lots of options. You might need to buy a small amount of ETH (like $5 or so) to pay any network fees to get it to Coinpoker. I lost about 2-3% in fees and the 5USDT charge from Coinpoker to withdraw is expensive and will deter some.

It's a bit of a hassle to setup but after that it should be straightforward. And it's crypto so the whole thing carries risk, although using USDT reduces some of that.

HUDs aren't allowed although there is one that claims to work but it looks unmaintained and I don't intend trying it. Overall the game is a slick interface and the only pain for me is that you can't download your hand history, although apparently you can request it by email from support.

Interesting, be good to know how you get on.

For me it seems too much hassle and risk at the moment, though I'd like to see new low rake rooms like coinpoker gain traction.

I really struggle to see recreational players jumping through these hoops when they could just play on GG, PS or 888 easily. Interested to know how you think it compares to other sites

I have been playing a little at coinpoker for a couple weeks now and I quite like having it as an option. I wouldn't make it may main place to play as I don't really like the software and cash games don't look that great. I haven't looked at the deposit/withdrawal/crypto stuff yet as I'm not planning on depositing, I've just been playing the freerolls and centrolls and I'll look into that stuff once I finally bink a tournament or something. Anyway, that's just my experience with the room so far...

Is it good to use Binance as a crypto wallet?

you can use binance wallet. your binance wallet ID is essential to transfer the crypto.

your wallet ID will be linked to the coinpoker account. you cannot change the ID again in coin poker. so be careful.

It's not a bad room, but I have a client with very small fonts, of course, you can constantly change the screen resolution, but this is not an option, I rarely play there!

They ARE trustworthy for payouts, but there is SOOOOO much to be desired... they do not allow ANY hi-lo games which means that if your a omaha hi/lo player your out of luck there and most important they DO NOT have sit and goes of any kind... I honestly dont know why they are around
