I also think its totally random. What you experience is called variance especially when playing all in before the flop. any 2 cards without an A and not paired beat AA roughly 1/3 of the time. BE prepared to lose with good hands sometimes - learn to put pressure on small stacks and win with trash hands sometimes. its all a part of the wonderful game poker.
