Got My Money Back From PokerStars

Yes you did something wrong. You signed up, when you were clearly not allowed to. Have you still not read those TOS, which you broke? This did not entitle PokerStars to confiscate your winnings, but its completely ridiculous, that you continue to claim, you were some sort of innocent victim of a "scam". Also why were you banned for "responsible gaming issues" in the first place? This does not happen for no reason, so maybe you should take a look in the mirror and reevaluate, if your relationship with poker is a healthy one. There are many factors indicating, its probably not.

I did nothing wrong. I sent them my ID, I gave them all my information, they verified me and said I could play so I played.

I didn't even break the ToS. If I did I probably wouldn't of got my money back. Definitely wouldn't of been resolved this quickly.

Also I don't understand how some people think if someone has alleged gambling addiction problems that gives the operators the right to steal their money if they come back after being verified lol. It's so absurd.

I am an innocent victim. If I wasn't I wouldn't of gotten my money back.

You were not allowed to sign up, because you had previously been banned, and even just because you had a gambling issue. The TOS also talk about people having self excluded from other sites. The fact, they failed to notice, that you were banned, does not mean, you were in the right. Its the same as claiming, its completely ok to drive 80 MPH every day for 5 month on a road with a 50 MPH speed limit, because the police failed to catch you. Yes they did a poor job by taking so long to figure it out, but you are still the one, who clearly broke the rules by signing up and playing, when you were not allowed to.

I would not waste more energy on this dude. He clearly lives in his own world where everything he does is right and everything others do is not.

He does not even understand that pokerstars only had to pay because they made a mistake and not because he was innocent. Its pretty much a case of "dunning-kruger" here.


I hope he enjoys his money because not being able to eat and sleep is not ok-even for a gambling addict. Did he learn his lesson? Well i guess not 🤭

I never had a gambling issue, PokerStars said I had a gambling issue. There is a big difference. I have never asked to be self excluded from PokerStars, I have never called a gambling hotline. I have never gambled so much money that it ended up affecting my life.

I have feelings from Poker that are negative as everyone does, the ups and downs do get stressful, they get draining after awhile. When I realize this has happened, I take a break. I am pretty good at doing that.

Also I did not break the rules because PokerStars Ontario and PokerStars Global are two separate entities. They structured it like that so they could be two separate entities.

Also I gave them my name and ID lol. I'm sure they have a database where they can quickly search someones name and see if a banned player comes back. The address was the same, my email was the same. This isn't super complex stuff. It leads me to believe they intentionally tried to freeroll me.

The only person who did anything wrong I feel was PokerStars. I don't feel like I did anything wrong even in the slightest.

That's great news, happy you got your money back. Thanks for laying out what happened, and this can be a good lesson for others, maybe.

But we're not going to go down this same rabbit hole of back and forth. It just won't end well, and neither side is going to concede.
