Hi fellow German players,

recently I had the situation that after I switched between Apps and returned to Pokerstars, I received the following popup:
Screenshot 2023 07 03 18 00 34 52 b0740962a2a66051f5b86ff593552a03

At my open table, the software forced me to sit out and didn't let me return with the same popup message. My cards were auto-folded.

Anyone having the same issue?

I could resolve it by closing and reopening the App several times...

I don't know what that popup says, but I have gotten perma-sat-out in Stars several times before and I am not from Germany. No popup needed for me.

Thanks for your feedback!

The popup says:

(my mobile app is in German but I changed the PC version to English)

This is I think a part of the bad working german regulatory database that is installed to set a poker site independent table limit.

This seems to have a lot of bugs. This also made me sit out at 888 poker.

All big bs.

I also have this problem sometimes, it's probably because of the Lugas which says that you can't play with several providers at the same time.

It happened to me that I wanted to switch from the app on my mobile phone to the PC and had to wait 5 minutes until I could play again, even though it was the same provider. That's why I only make such changes during tournament breaks.

Unfortunately the regulations are getting worse and worse for us German players, as of today there are no more freerolls for us at 888 and GG Poker.

Hi @Andyreas

I'm not German but hi

Only issue i have on stars is on mobile.

If I'm playing Any amount of table ranging from 1 - 4 on mobile.

When I've been logged in over 10 minutes if i leave the table for a moment to look at the lobby it auto puts me back to log in page even if the tables are running still or on break can be very annoying sometimes.

Hey @Andyreas!

I had the same problem 1-2 years ago.

First I had connection problems and had to reconnect to the Internet. The time this took meant I was sitting out at the table, but was unable to quit the sitting out and continue playing normally. There were a few tournaments where I could watch my stack melt away until it was gone. Absolutely frustrating when you were first but didn't end up in prizepool or after hours you're sitting at the final table where the price jumps are huge, but could not play!

Every hand was immediately folded, even those in the big blind, even if there was no raise and the blind would have been enough to see the flop. That's normal at PokerStars, unlike ReplayPoker, for example!
I have never seen before or after that a big blind that was enough to see the flop as there was no raise was folded!!!

It wasn't enough to restart PokerStars or the internet connection. I had to shut down the computer completely and start it up again.

By the way... do you actually have PokerStars.de or PokerStars.sh?

Thank you for the feedback guys, I also think it's a result of the new German regulation systems. 😵

I'm not in SH but from what I've heard, also SH was migrated to DE in the recent license renewal. 🤔

I have experienced this kind of problems a few times on Pokerstars playing from a laptop and playing from Sweden. Sometimes it has affected only one of my tables, where I just could not sit in again, but not the others. And it could be resolved by closing the client and restarting it. Unless it keeps happening again and again, I would just use the option of restarting and not worry to much about it :)

Unfortunately restarting the client very rarely resolved the problem. :( It seems to be some sort of "time-out" which usually lasts a few minutes.

But I just had another software update, so let's see...

And luckily it does not happen that frequently but still annoying when it does.

Probably related but obviously the LUGAS is starting to play a serious role and I guess it's also related to this issue

I would just start playing mainly on unregulated sites and rarely on those regulated, now for germans basically broken sites.

Crazy what the clueless german government has done to poker. And all so badly implementet and organized. I wonder how competent they are in other topics i dont care or have knowledge about 🤣

Here some Information about LUGAS.
As far as I understand this,
it blocks all other registrations at another poker site.
The 4 tables rule where one is PS, one 888, and 2 on GG will no longer be active, according to this document, because you are active at PS.

Yes, but from what it looks like it seems to be a little buggy when you switch between sessions within the same provider

Sounds reasonable. And when the regulation gets this restricting, I can honestly see the point in giving it the finger and move the bulk of your activity to unregulated sites. ACR has its faults and drawbacks, but its definitely a workable alternative, if you can accept withdrawing in crypto currency. If Sweden also introduced this table cap, I could see myself making that transition.

I had the same problem two times now!!
Yesterday shortly before the final table of a tourney. Pokerstars support will not pay me money and don't seem to look into the problem. Bad technical error!!

You can not expect to get compensated for connection problems. When you sit out, your chips are won by other players, so to compensate you the poker site would need to pay out of their own pocket. Which they will never do, since its impossible to prove, if the fault is with their software or with your own equipment and/or internet connection. Or if there even were problems in the first place. Sometimes people will sit out, because they are busy doing other things, feel asleep or forgot to look at one of their tables.
