Pokerstars "Improvements" ??

What do you guys think about the new pokerstars reward system ? Is it really beneficial for the players like they are advertising ?
I might not be familiar enough with it yet, but so far it looks to me like another sophisticated scam.
I do like the new sounds though !

I think it is? I deposited 10€ and managed with just that money get one of those chests, with previous system that money would have never been able to.

What I heard the entire idea is take parts from the 2018 - 2019 much more succesful rewards system.

He has improved compared to recent years, he still has a lot to improve and regain confidence with the players. Hopefully the reward system returns to what it was in the beginning with levels like the Supernova Elite

It looks to me like they are concentrating on making money with their sportsbetting and have kinda given up on poker---all the challenges now are sportsbetting

Like what it's been said above, they are probably focusing more on rewarding sports betters. I opened a chest yesterday (935), and was really pissed off seeing a $1 ticket and 50 points. I think that's no improvement at all.

The new sounds are really nicer. As for the new reward system, I just never paid attention to it. For me, the main thing is that my bankroll grows due to my skills and experience. I'm used to relying only on myself, and any reward system is not important to me.

I think that's a nice way to look at it. Sometimes those reward chests could be a distraction or could even give you an incentive to play a game just so you can fill up a chest even if you are tired or not in the mood; and that could only cost more money than what the chest conrains.

I don't really like the reward system, I think we need to come up with something new and abandon this old system. There are no normal freerolls in terms of the number of players, as in other poker rooms. It's getting boring at poker stars !!!

I think stars coins are great, I always turned them into MTT buy-ins. My problem was that they didn't offer as much as I can say its worth to hoping to open the next chest.

In some months they run rake backs in challanges, and they were really on point as you could make back 5 times 10$ = 50$ and as a Micro player I could do it. However the exclusive ones were not achievable playing on the same levels.

So I feel that somewhere PS wants to listen us, but don't want to loose so much money on it. Lets say piece by piece we will find a way together.

Worse than it used to be many years ago , but I think better than it used to be few months ago . Time will prove us wrong or right . I like now that thye give you more starcoins , to buy with them anything you want from the store , or play them on the Deal jackpot

I absolutely agree with you. In most cases, such promotions simply distract our attention, but in reality they are worthless.

Exactly. Just compare the old PS reward system to what it has become. At least it was worth something in the old days. Now it's complete bullshit.

Have you opened a new chest yet ? If not, wait till you do. In the old system, you could find 120 coins and a couple of tickets just in the blue chest, now in the higher level, I got 50 coins and $1 ticket. That doesn't look like an improvement to me. But lets give it some more time and see.

Im very much undecided on the current rewards system, i have friends of whom i know play a lot online on Pokerstars and have benefited from grinding up to Gold chests and have had some decent rewards but its a major jump and investment to keep there and even bigger to jump to the next level, i have always been a bigger fan of rakeback to be honest.

It's not about waiting for them to give us anything. But the way they started advertising this new system shows that they are taking their success for granted, thinking that we are so addicted to them with nowhere else to go. I consider it an insult to our intelligence, which brings me to the second part of your post. They better understand that we play against each other and they can keep their rake altogether...

I just noticed today in my Challenges I'm getting 40% Rakeback up to a max. of $50 /mth. (for every $25 I pay in rake, I get $10 back).

Unfortunately I didn't see this til' this evening and now I will only have < 2days, lol.
I guess I'll be playing a bit tomorrow, just to get the $10 back, lol. (would've liked to have seen this sooner though... maybe I get it again in December). It's too bad they limit it to a max. of $50 for me though. Why?
It's a million times better than relying on those fk'n chests. They are garbage!
