I am shocked pokerstars is still a poker site
Why? Pokerstars have a very limited number of players from Morocco, so unlike some other countries, that they left in the past, this will hardly even be felt by the remaining players. Still plenty of people enjoying to play on PokerStars, although sadly a few days from now no longer from Morocco :(

Probabil ai dreptate. Vestea proastă e că următoarea mea destinație este Argentina ;). Așa că pregătește-te, frate :ROFLMAO:.
Are you a footballer who travels that much?

As the time goes on , it becomes more and more difficult to play. For example: Many of our banks refuse to transfer money to PS. I had to open an account in a new bank and when I tried to transfer send to PS, was surprised! Bank operations towards gambling sites are forbidden.

Damn! Their shit is following us everywhere :(, now we need to move to Bermuda or something ;).
Do you have an idea if the government has to do with it?
It does ..I am Moroccan I play poker online fulltime since 2008 ... I left Morocco this year for the Philippines ( Bali in April ) , then Philippines since June the reason is that in January I read an article stating that the site will have to pay 30 percent on any win ( that a Moroccan player will make ) that s absurd ..'so I knew shit will hit the fan ...I took my suitcase and left 4 months later ..until yesterday I was playing without problems ( actually I never received any mail informing me about anything) today trying to play ...I opened the lobby ..but no tournaments for me ...then I checked online and I understood what is happening ...now I m trying to prove that I live here ...I anticipated all this I was planning to get an official documents in 2 days and sign a rent contract ( those will be my proof of adress )let s see how it goes . hopefully PokerStars will be kind enough to make the transition smooth .. honestly I love it here ( besides touajen , that I miss a lot ) everything here is perfect ...I will stay here until they block the Philippines too ..then I ll move somewhere else ...

Saw a player from Mocorro this morning on several 10NL full ring tables, so perhaps someone enjoying the last chance to play? :)

Does anyone know if Flutter Entertainment already owns 100% of Pokerstars equity shares or not yet?

You did good getting out of a country run by freaking mafia anyway. Good luck to you bro.
And instead of going through proving that you live there, couldn't you just open a new account?

Because their system doesnt allow “fresh start” accounts.

PokerStars ties everything (ID, device fingerprints, banking history, play history, anti-fraud checks) to the player , not just to an email/password. If they let people open new accounts whenever they move players could potentially

dodge self-exclusion or bans
,avoid taxes or local gambling regulations ( in some cases u owe taxes to your original country even if u move ) ,
abuse sign-up bonuses ...etc ..

That’s why they require proof of new residency instead of letting you make a new profile.

Ok location changed in less than 7 hours .. honestly PokerStars have always been great , they asked for one document , I sent 3 ...and I had 2 more up my sleeve in case they wanted more proofs ...they didn't ask for more ...transition went very smoothly...guess u just need to be honest and everything goes fast ...

By the way for those who Don t know the reason, it s because of the NEW Law , the site has to pay 30 percent on any Moroccan Win ( in Gambling; and obviously for them poker is gambling) To the Moroccan GOV.,,,I left Morocco as soon as I heard that, I knew smth Bad would happen// Was cool as it lasted,by the way I wanted to pay taxes in 2010. Went to see an accountant, HE told me ' aren t u scared to go to HELL?" lol really Bro? the big boss directly? straight to Hell ?at least take me to prison first or smth for a warm up.,,, anyways I knew after that I just should shut up and keep checking the news.,,,
