Hope they fix the Pokerstars Ontario version as well cause it really does suck trying to open chests for very little cash back.

I read the whole article, and I think that the new program will only benefit regular players, who spend a lot with them, for players like me who don't make a profit for the site, they want it but we disappear.

I agree with you. It doesn't look good. They are removing their challenges and yet trying to convince us that's actually good for us.

Frankly, I don't like the current program, just as I won't like the new one. I liked it when I earned starcoins as I played and not this chest system.... Nowadays I can never accumulate starcoins anymore because the first chest levels don't give that and I can't even play the DEAL. But that's it for the worse today.... I don't like it!

And i mean who can blame them? U said it urself: u are only playing freerolls and then u cashout ur winnings. Many others do the same, i also did it sometimes or only played very little with money won in freerolls before i cashed out.

Pokerstars is starving just like basically any other online poker site besides GG. Years ago u had 100k+ players on the site on average, now its around 10k. Top winner in cash games made around 100k (if im not mistaken), years ago it was always around a million (if im not mistaken). So basically they lost around 90 percent in revenue because of regulations or players that moved to other sites.

They are now doing everything possible to still run the site profitable and create a good ecosystem and looks like part of this is making the live a bit miserable of the so called "micro and freeroll pros" by putting them in real money games and/or higher buy-ins by changing freeroll prices to tickets and only giving out minimal rewards to those who play minimal volume. And again: who can blame them? They are still running more cardschat freerolls than any other site and imo its great they put players in higher tournaments where they have to play. (And finally get punished for for something of real value🤣)

Ps: why do u only play freerolls Mr. Gritz? U play a pretty solid game and i think u could easily reach a good score in some mtt with a real buy-in 💥🏝️😉

Too much jargon and if it ain't broke....
This is only effective and able to give a good overview and feedback, once it's in action.

I don't invest thousands into Pokerstars, so most of it doesn't apply to me....

I see they have done away with the one dollar free sportsbet when you get eliminated from a tourney without cashing. Do you still get the 50 cent power path ticket if you wager at least a dollar? For sure I am not going to give them as much as 9 cents of rake to find out.

When Pokerstars mentions the terms Select and Select+, my perception is that the platform is becoming a kind of literally exclusive bank ONLY (for the large part of its user base) for customers with higher incomes.

And then after that, they tell you to get in touch with them that an Account Manager who will review your case and send you an invitation IF APPROPRIATE.

Other day saw Pokerstars Spain gifting a user with a gaming chair (see HERE) and observe the direction of the platform is currently following. I asked and they said it was a gift for the most loyal players who bet the most throughout the year.

I think more benefits like this will soon appear for larger customers.

The way they hype up the Power Path and invest into it more has me worried. I am afraid that the January 22 changes to private freerolls will be that they are all made Power Path too.

I think it's good that the rewards are for players who invest money in the site whether it's a lot or a little money... you can't get everything in life for free.

Thank you for your words, but the big problem for me is my work, as I work for the railway and am at home on call 24 hours a day, I cannot get involved in paid tournaments, as it could happen that the railway calls me during a match and I would have abandon, thus losing the value of the entry.

I could take a risk and play, but as I mentioned above, if they call me I have to drop everything and run away, as usually the job is an emergency on a locomotive that has a breakdown in the on-board computer system, and a stopped locomotive means a lot of money to be spent. loses.

Until I have my Friday off, the railway is trying to cut it, and at the moment the money I make with them would be missing from my budget, that's why I only play freerolls, because if I have to drop out I'm not losing anything.😉😁

Before I couldn't complete my challenges, now (in transparency) who knows? As for the Select and Select+, don't even think about arriving or bumping into it, I hope to see you use it to analyze, the current one for me is rated with 35% effective

Oh! C'mon!

You only need to rake 100000$ in a year to be a Select+ player... and 50000$ to be a Select player. How hard can that be!?!? :ROFLMAO:

"While we'll expect more gameplay to earn a Chest, we've also raised Chest sizes up to 40% for the top level, and we'll give all rewards as Cash now."

Are the new requirements listed anywhere? I didn't like the sound of that part!

Currently I play for bronze chests. This is how it is now.

So they're going to give a freebie step 1 powerpath ticket daily to everybody and make that permanent on the platform. That's great. And they will probably get rid of crappy weekly challenges, not all challenges. Then the other change is creating some bigger rakeback program for their high rollers. I don't see anything wrong with that. They don't really care to keep giving charity to the poors. At least you get a daily $0.50 spin ticket that you can convert into $109 if you try hard enough. But of course instead of being grateful, the poors just want to complain and go spin their daily wheel for their infinite 888 freeroll tickets.

Found the new details in full.

You need the equivalent of 6 blue chests to earn 1 in the new program. 2000 points instead of 333. The percentage of reward is the same $3 vs. $0.50.

6000 points to earn a bronze instead of 935, getting back $10.50 instead of $1.50 per chest.

Current blue tier players who earned chests every now and then simply won't get them anymore. 1-chest-a-month bronze players from the old system who were accumulating 1000+ points won't earn a single blue now either. Minimum $20 a month paid in rake to get anything instead of $3.33.

Crap at the bottom end.

I play $2NL, going to need around 14-15000 hands per month to hit that as an estimation which I can do, but a lot are now going miss out.

as for me, pokerstars have come up with another nonsense for users. they did better for themselves, but these accusations did not affect the players. this room is quietly coming to its end.

It looks as though the 40% rakeback challenges are going?

I'm currently silver (nearly gold!) For 57.5% rakeback.

Looking at the new system I am going to be either bronze or silver for just 17.5% or 20% rakeback. If that's the case I may as well play elsewhere!
