Not sure what's going on with my laptop but, BCP will not open. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still it doesn't start up. I shut my anti virus off and still not starting. I tried to restore an older version and nothing.

I have no problem with ACR opening. I have a roll on BCP but not ACR, so would like to stay there.

Any thoughts?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think there must be some updates or maintenance going on. Several people I know were in various games at various times, it becomes suspended, so there could be some corelation. I've not tried to open ACR/BCP since this morning for the same reason you can't get in.

Someone else said in another thread they got 7 games cancelled and 4 where buy-in games and other where freerolls and he got $40 credit back, this sounds like a DOS attack which happened to 888 poker only weeks ago and who had to close down their bigger tournies leaving players mad.

Guys,

Yesterday we had ISP issues but are not longer affecting games. We had to do a last minute maintenance on the software and it is working properly.

Regards

Thanks for your help. I was having this issue only on Black Chip. ACR was working fine all day. It seems as though BCP doesn't start up when opened.

I uninstalled BCP, turned off my Anti Virus, and reinstalled BCP. That seemed to solve the issue. I was able to open the poker client.

After installed, I turned the Anti Virus on.

Is there something in BCP that Norton is picking out as a threat?

Yes there must be as my Norton removed BCP as a threat and i can't open it up, ACR and True Poker run fine but whatever is happening with BCP is hindering Norton from letting it open up, it's saying it is acting suspiciously.

I have Avira installed and it didn't give any warnings when I opened Black Chip Poker. But,Avira used to treat every Microgaming online poker room as a virus, which was silly. Now Avira says that Intertops Poker is a virus, too.I guess every antivirus program will treat some online poker rooms as viruses.

In order to correct this situation, please note that our cardroom requires certain ports to be available in order to connect to our server; by default many firewalls block any programs from accessing the internet.

We suggest you check your Firewall settings and allow BlackChip Poker within the authorized programs. Your Firewall most likely has chat or phone service and they can guide you to make enable all the access.
