VangPoker was launched this year, in 2025. The site, owned by UPP Gaming Technology, had a strong focus on cryptocurrencies. But it seems that low player participation caused everything to fall apart.
After less than a year of existence, the discontinuation of the platform was announced, with all players being transferred to UP Poker. The message sent to players with the announcement states that it is due to a "Market Strategy".

I find this regrettable; VangPoker is a great platform for cash games, with stakes ranging from very low to very high.

What did you think of this news? Were you familiar with VangPoker?

Sites seem to be dropping like flies these days.

Its got to be half a dozen sites gone in the last couple months.

I think it always been like that. I remember a lot of sites that are long gone. Which other ones have been closed lately btw, I haven't heard about that.

As for Vang, also news to me. I won like 20$ there. They've been cutting tourneys lately, so can't say I'm very surprised. I wasn't a fan but man the field is soft there.

I just found out about it now, it's a good site to start with, with weak and recreational players. I'll continue playing at UP Poker, which seems to be a copy of Vangpoker.

I played a bit at the start when there were affiliate freerolls, but once they disappeared, the site pretty much died out. They also kept cutting their own freerolls, and even in the beginning they were poorly structured — like $50 every hour (or even more often). It would've been much better to run 2–3 per day with bigger prizes.
A friend of mine played cash games there while the traffic was low and even competed for the leaderboard, but once it became harder to fight for it, he stopped. The site is struggling to attract players, and without real investment it's almost impossible to grow now. And depositing money into a room that isn’t proven over the years doesn’t feel like a smart idea, especially when there are more reliable sites out there for players who don’t like the major poker platforms.

Rip Van-Gone Poker 2025-2025. One of the most relevant rooms that ever existed closes 😮 It was quite a journey 😅

What was their name again?
