With so many poker rooms available today, it's pretty easy for players to move between sites depending on promotions or traffic.

But some players still stick with one main site for a long time. I'm curious what makes people stay loyal to a specific platform.

Is it the software, the games, the rake structure, or something else that keeps you playing there instead of trying other sites?

What usually happens is that players try to play on the site with the most players and the best prizes. This has always been the case. A few years ago PokerStars was the king with big series like SCOOP and WCOOP. Now their prize pools have decreased a lot.

Today the leader seems to be GGPoker, especially since it works together with the world series of poker, which attracts a lot of players.

Many players choose a site for those reasons, but more casual players or those who mainly play freerolls might prefer sites where the competition is softer or where there are more freeroll tournaments. Sometimes players also stay loyal to the first poker room they ever played on. That happens a lot too.

I stick to the platforms which have a licence to activate in my region. Because they pay taxes and are regulated. And because I don't have to use a VPN and breaking the law...

Winning, what else! I don't particularly like Party Poker but last night I played three tournaments and made three final tables. I've all but given up on PokerStars mainly because of the absurdly long rebuy and re-entry periods.

For me it's quite simple. Regulated and licensed RNG is a must. So trust, security and 20+ years zero issues and or problems. Imagine never needing to contact support. I've tried most the main sites over the last 20+ years. Why would change my main site? Can't get better then a perfect record of zero issues and problems. When/if I need to deposit it's instant. When I request a withdraw it always shows up in 2-3 days never fails. I also really like the software.

Not sure what I'd do when/if Pokerstars ever leaves my province or if I ever can't play their. There's not another site I like near as much. Guess I'd likely play a lot less online and a bit more live. Overall thou I'd likely play way way less poker sadly.

Cheers!!!
