Partypoker has been blocked in Latvia for 2 years already. But this is not a problem. I turned on VPN and downloaded and play.

Hey partypoker made a weird Management decision...
They will no longer offer Poker for Austrian players but they will still offer Casino and bets?
This makes no sense at all...
Technically only win2day.at has a vaild license for poker and gambling.
So I wonder why they aren't stopping all the services... If someone sues and wants his online gambling losses back, they have to pay.
Pokerstars actually was forced by our OGH (highest jurisdictional instance ) to refund over 1,2 million€ in 2021 because they only have a license in Malta..

I sencerley hope Pokerstars won't make the same decision ...

they certainly don't have such money as the PS, but according to the growth rate in 2020, this site showed good growth, more than the PS and it seems in 2021 they also had no problems with growth, another circumstance rather plays a role here, for example, the site sees that in France and Spain they have growth and there is a decline in online poker in Austria, in any case, they must have very good reasons to close online poker in a certain country, sometimes it defies logic, I think they will fix it

The whole Situation is a bit ridiculous.
Monopolies are against our constitution but the state has a monopoly on gambling nethertheless..
But nobody wants to sue the state.
If I was a millionaire i would go to the last judicial instance...

this happens everywhere, from the most backward countries to the most developed, there's nothing you can do about it, in terms of monopolies,
I don't know how independent your courts are, but when you become a millionaire, you won't be up to it to sue the state

Our courts are very independent.
Politics would have never allowed same Sex registered civil partnerships cause we are governed by christian conservatives...
But one guy sued and our highest judicial instance (OGH, Oberster Gerichtshof) ruled that this would be against the principle of equality and since then they are allowed to

same here in Austria beginning from 30th january
no reason stated. "it was a management decison"
although only poker , casino and bets remain available for some reason over here

I understand your frustation. PartyPoker stopped working here for quite some time now.

Hopefully in the future we'll be able to play there again.

Today I received an email saying that next week, players in Argentina will be no longer able to play Poker, Casino or Sports Bets in PartyPoker.
Deposits (and I guess that withdrawals too) will stop been availables from 23/01/2023.
From 30/1/2023 we won't be able to play anymore.
