To answer your question is very easy, which is the most practicing sport around the world? - Football, this is European football invented by England, for him there are several leagues and competitions worldwide, including the World Cup and Olympics.

As a south american I don't agree with those terms, let's be realistic, there is:
football (for all the world except USA)
USA football (witch is barely played with the feet...)

I like both to be honest, but my knowledge of USA football is kind of limited, I know the basic rules but I haven't watched too many games. I did love Friday Night Lights though

American football is sometimes fun to watch but it is not a safe sport to play, and also kind of strange, I sometimes like to watch ncaaf and less so the nfl. As a european I sertanly like soccer. I can appreciate american football, and I know (most of) the rules, but it's more complicated, and it's "slower" in action. And indeed I wonder why it is called football????

As far as watching the games, American football is a clear winner, that is if you enjoy commercial advertising... Even at live games, you sit around waiting between plays for the action to resume. Whereas European football is continuous flow of action that doesn't stop much until halftime, or the end of the game (90mins of action in 2hrs vs 60mins in 3hrs).

I like the NFL better than European football. Is European football soccer? Or, is European football, Rugby? I believe European football is Rugby.

I don't know if the Rugby players get hurt though like our NFL counterparts get hurt? If that is the case then I really truly believe that the NFL needs to take a serious look at what Rugby players are doing right ( in the sense of not getting hurt as much ) and what the NFL can change ( like concussions. )

I vastly prefer American football. I think the biggest thing that keeps the majority of Americans not caring much about football (soccer) are ties. I personally don't like sitting there for a few hours and at the end of it, it's like it never happened. Play until someone wins, and I'd be more into it.

European football fan through and through but definitely think the system of bringing through young players through the college system in the US is far superior. Here a lot of english talent goes to waste because of big money signings from elsewhere. American football just a bit strange to me...find it exciting occasionally but think some of the players are a bit pointless tbh - that may be an uninformed and unpopular opinion though

college football in US

There is so much money + pressure in NCAA d-1 football that its full of cheating + scandals ( false classes , rigged grades , recruiting scams ,under the table payments , women, cars, PED's ) .NFL football has some of the above as well as continual problems with felonious athletes , head injury issues ,league wide collusion (see Collin K) etc . I will watch the playoffs though .That is exciting !

I will always be an American football fan just cuz soccer is too slow for me. I can't sit down and watch something as slow as a soccer game or baseball game. I can only watch basketball and some football.
