Miami Heat @ San Antonio Spurs: San Antonio Spurs (+ 1) /// 1.91

Last bet lost. 7th bet in a row. Not the kind of start to my first NBA betting season I expected. But Milwaukee lost without question. Without a chance. This NBA season has been too unpredictable so far. I don't know why, but I'm shocked at what I'm seeing in every game from the teams I bet on that are favorites statistically. My betting totals are NBA 5-13 in favor of the unsuccessful, MLB 30-27 in favor of the successful, NFL+NCAAF 2-4 in favor of the unsuccessful.
New bet: San Antonio Spurs won't lose by more than 1 point to Miami. Well, let's forget about the statistics of their personal meetings. Let's just analyze who has a better chance in this game. San Antonio has played 4 games at home. 3 of them lost and 1 won. They lost to prime Dallas and Minnesota, as well as Toronto in overtime. They won against a pretty tough Houston! Miami's back-to-back. Caleb Martin and Tyler Herro will not play. Jimmy Butler is questionable. Well, it really depends on his participation. But even if he does play, I'd be very surprised if the starting five with veteran Lowry (who played 33 minutes against Atlanta) and Adebayo (who played 39 minutes against Atlanta) wins back-to-back game for the second road game in a row. With that said, San Antonio has everyone healthy. I think the Spurs have a better chance tonight and will beat the tired Heat with confidence. Bet? Sure!

Nothing to do about it, the bets were good it was just tough luck as some teams just didn't show up for some games* the Bucks are the perfect example of WTF is going on with this team?! * I'll go for 1 other team- the Lakers are 'destroyed' by the Rockets and Orlando(and lose some other games they should have won), but win twice vs the Suns(one win was on the road too)?! and loooooooots of other examples of 'weird' results- but it's early season...

PS. A few years ago, NBA was a competition I was following closely and bet often on(I stopped as my schedule changed and couldn't watch too many games anymore and some other reasons too...), so I know how tough it can be to have quite a few 'red' bets in a row* my worst run in a month was like 3/17 but I still finished the season with profit and IMO you seem to be way more professional about your tips than how I ever used to be, so you'll definitely turn things around and to make an analogy with poker(as the CC community is mainly focused on poker)- if we get it in preflop 5 times with AA(we usually have 80%+ equity, but it's actually 90% equity as we'll be against hands like AK/ AQ/ AJ quite often...) and somehow lose all 5 times- did we play badly?! NO -do we fold the next time we have AA?! NO.... it's similar with betting too- we can only try to make the best decisions/ pick the 'right' bets and hope for the best outcome...

Thanks for the support, Billy! I'm just shocked that head-to-head stats don't work specifically this season. It was exactly in the NBA that head-to-head stats were of key importance in past seasons. Unlike in other kinds of sports. For example, take the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. Golden State had a 16-game winning streak before this season. And this season they played all their games against each other and Cleveland won both of them. I understand if a team, for example, went into a rebuild like Portland or Utah. It's clear: Portland's head-to-head stats against some teams will be very successful because Lillard played there, for example. And now it's silly to hope that Portland will beat everyone. But I bet on successful head-to-head stats against teams that have not gone into a rebuild, but on the contrary! The Lakers are in a rebuild? No. But they lost to a Houston that got better then last season - yes, but I won't say this Houston is stronger than the Houston where Harden played, for example. The Clippers in a rebuild? No. But they're losing to everyone right now, including they had a streak against the Lakers of 11 straight wins. And the semi-injured Lakers beat the Clippers with Kawhi and PG13, losing by 19 points over the course of the game. But the same time Lakers loss sweet for them Magic.
Milwaukee especially didn't go into a rebuild. Just like Golden State didn't go into a rebuild, but they're losing games they should have won. I lost when I bet on Chicago and Charlotte, who have incredibly successful stats against Detroit. Has Detroit gotten stronger? No! They've only won two of those games against some of their most uncomfortable opponents. Indiana, Orlando. they haven't gotten better either! They're playing very unstable. I feel like sometimes the players have started betting against themselves in some games.
Overall: very strange results, given the teams' rosters (as well as stats against their sweetest opponents) and their goals for this season.

Last bet lost. Spurs were winning by 10 points in 6 minutes to end the game and lost the clutch. In doing so, Spurs won the rebounding battle outright. They played solid, but Miami showed that this team has character. Miami's turnovers were abnormally low for a back-to-back (only 4 turnovers). That concentration helped the Heat to win this game. New bet: Malik Beasley will score more than 7 points in the game against Chicago! Well, it's time to change the betting format, as handicap betting has brought me nothing but disappointment. The NBA has changed and I wasn't ready to see those changes. So, Malik Beasley! A very controversial basketball player, who on any other team would be at most a long bench role player for minimal minutes. But not in Milwaukee, who gave up two solid top defensive players in the starting five for Lillard. They had to take a player who failed in the Lakers for the Grayson Allen position. We're talking about Malik Beasley, of course. Malik Beasley is Milwaukee's starting player who is the 5th option on offense (when all players are healthy). Last bet won! Malik Beasley made his 3 three-pointers very quickly (still in the second quarter). So for the rest of the game I just enjoyed the basketball, which I haven't for a long time. New bet: LaMelo Ball will score 25 points or less in the game against Miami. Now my NBA predictions will be only on specific players. I am well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of NBA players and what they are able to do. LaMelo Ball is Charlotte's leader. He is not overrated and I consider him a diamante and symbol of the modern NBA! But against the Heat, he never managed to score 25 points. He played 9 games as a Charlotte player against Miami and not once in his entire career has he ever scored 25 points. Not once! I can't say LaMelo is scoring more than 25 points easily this season either. It's only happened 3 times in 9 games played (against the Knicks, Mavericks, and Wizards). But in those games LaMelo Ball showed a very solid Field Goal Percentage: 65% against the Knicks, 59.1% against the Wizards, and 47.8% against the Mavericks (and in the Dallas game LaMelo had a 50% three-point percentage). I don't believe in miracles and that LaMelo Ball will be as successful against Miami, to whom he never once scored 25 points. The bet is very playable! Shall we bet? Sure!

Last bet lost. Again another strange injuries a few hours before the start of the game. But if Gordon Hayward's participation was officially in doubt. But that's Gordon Hayward - he's always in doubt every game. I'm surprised he didn't play. And it's even stranger that Brandon Miller didn't play! So it's not surprising that LaMelo had 26 FGs (his average FG this season is 18.4)! But LaMelo played really bad. 5 personal fouls could have sent him to the bench earlier, as well as Miami's more solid lead. But neither happened and LaMelo scored his 26th point with 1:05 left in the 4th quarter. The bet would be very easy if:
1. One of the Gordon Hayward/Brandon Miller pair would have played;
2. LaMelo would get his 6th personal foul;
3. Miami would have been winning by more than 10 points with 2-3 minutes left in the game.
That's just unreal bad luck. And there's nothing to add. My betting scores: NBA 6-15 in favor of the unsuccessful, MLB 30-27 in favor of the successful, NFL+NCAAF 2-4 in favor of the unsuccessful.
New bet: Luka Doncic will score 29 points or more against the Wizards! I've been analyzing this bet for a long time. So, Luka Doncic! A great start for Dallas, where Luka is the leader! And he proves it in almost every game. He's averaging 31.1 points on 20.8 attempts this season! In 8 games this season with 11, he has scored 29 points or more. In 6 games from 9 against the Wizards Doncic has scored 29 points or more. Who will Washington's defense be against Doncic? Tyus Jones or Jordan Poole! Who? Are you serious? And the bookies are offering us this bet for a sweet 1.73 odds. Shall we bet? Absolutely!

2 singles for today- one from Euro qualifications backing Switzerland to win and take back the 1st place in Group I(Israel unfortunately just can't seem to be able to focus on football ATM and it's IMO 100% understandable...) and the other bet from ATP Finals as IMO Medvedev looks really strong and this really fast surface(I didn't verify the info but a top tipster I follow wrote that this hard indoor surface from Turin is the fastest on the Tour), seems to favor him more than any other player present at this tournament:
