There are indeed plenty of heavyweights competing for the title. Among them are Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich, but PSG's recent thrashing of Inter Milan in the final has left the French side ready to compete at a high level in the quest for the FIFA Club World Cup title. Even so, I'm betting on Botafogo, my favorite team, who are the current Copa Libertadores champions.

Good question, think it's another money tournament but they all want £250,000 a week so forget your summer holiday and roll through without a break. More injuries ahead.

The new tournament format will attract more attention to the World Club Championship. There's no doubt about it! I am not very knowledgeable about non-European championships, so it will be interesting to see some games of top teams from South America and Southwest Asia.

In this tournament i dont see any fav , because every team can win this. I think a lot of teams will playing with mixed squads . Some teams maybe will full focus on this tournament , but i see half of them will be playing just for training and experience. 50/50 chances for every team .

I believe in Botafogo, my heart team. There is a saying in Brazilian football that says, "There are things that only happen to Botafogo." This is for bad and good scenarios, but in the specific case of FIFA world football, the glorious carioca will be the champion. Within the four lines in the Futubel field, they can happen and eleven against 11 players on each side. Let's go Botafogo! I believe!

I'm a bit surprised how seriously the teams threat this tournament as, like a few other community members that posted here, I've expected teams to maybe try different things in preparation for the next season and this tournament to be more like an exhibition one... I guess the prestige of doing well in this 1st edition of FIFA Club World Cup with the new format and the financial incentives involved are a big part of it... I also think Real Madrid and PSG are big favorites to win it but there are other strong teams too- some teams outside Europe look pretty good too...

Hopefully this will be, overall, a successful and entertaining tournament
