As things stand the team finishing 5th will qualify for next season's champions league. However, the Manchester City ban in being heard by the CAS this week and it may be a while before a decision is made. Also the Premier League season is about to resume next week. No one can say for sure whether 5th place in the league will qualify for the Champions league. If the city case is still not resolved there is a possibility that the ban will be suspended.

Definitely he's an icon and a legend on Anfield, it's a pity he didn't manage to win a title with Liverpool, but overall Gerard remains a fabulous player.
