Going, Going, Gone! Yesterday, it was announced that Bryce Harper signed a 13 year, 330 million dollar contract, with the Philadelphia Phillies. I am really sad to see him go but wish him the best. I really wish that he had been signed out of the NL East, so we do not have to face him so many times. :damnmate:

Im still bitter about the strike when the expos were gonna meet the jays in the WS. Canada was robbed. Thats all I can think of when I read about the Nats.

deGrom. That should be quite a game.

Finally opening day is here! I like baseball but in my country these sport is not so popular. I hope these season will be Yankees season�� Go Bronx, we are ready for the game��.

Well, the pitching duel met the billing. deGrom struck out 10 and Scherzer 12 but unfortunately the Nats lost 2-0 to the Mets. Great game to watch if you like pitching duels, but I would have been much happier if the Nats could have managed a few runs.
Onward into the season.

Today was rough for the Nats pitchers, Strasburg started and left with a 4-4 tie.
Then it was 11-4, Nationals on the short end. The Nats loaded the bases in the ninth
inning with one out. Anthony Rendon was hit by a pitch to make it 11-5. Juan Soto
worked it to a 3-2 count and struck out. Ryan Zimmerman came up with 2 outs.
Zimmerman hit a double to clear the bases and make it 11-8, great 9th inning but that was as close as we got. Nats are now 0-2 to start the year.

Nationals finally got on the board and are 1-2 now. We beat the Mets 5-4 today on
a walk-off home run by Trey Turner, his second of the game. Sean Doolittle got the
win. Adam Eaton had 3 hits.

Well, Phillies and Harper are in town. They beat us 8-2 last night. Harper had 3 hits with a homer against us, killer. Rendon had a 2 run homer for the Nats. We play the Phillies again today at 1:05, hope we can get a win.

Yes that is rough, we don't know about Adams either. We beat the Phillies today 9-8, whew. needed that one! Bullpen has been terrible so far, hope they calm down and get it together.

Great, Nats beat the Mets today 4-0. Strasburg got the win, and the bullpen was great for a welcome change. The Mets only got 3 hits the entire game and Nats pitching struck out 14. Pleasant change. Off day tomorrow.

Bullpen let us down again. The Nats were up 5-3 but ended up losing 6-5 to the Mets. We were in good shape till the 8th inning when the wheels fell of again. Bullpen gave up 2 home runs to tie the game and the Mets got one more for the win. Scherzer today, maybe we can get a win.

Adventures with the Nats. We went from a 12-1 lead to 12-9 before Sean Doolittle
finally shut the Mets down Man, our bullpen really does not have it so far this year.
They have to have the worst ERA in the major leagues. On the bright side Max Scherzer pitched a great game for 7 innings. On to Philly now for 3 games.

We started a 3 game set with the Phillies last night. Unfortunately, losing the 1st game
4-3. Anibal Sanchez gave up 2 home runs. Game 2 tonight with Strasburg pitching, hope we can even the series.

10 innings in Philly last night. The National s were down 5 runs early, but managed to tie the game with a Robles home run in the ninth. Washington won the game in the 10th with a Soto blast. Doolittle got the win. Gomes and Kendrick also hit homers for the Nats,

The bats were alive in Philadelphia last night. Washington blasted Philly 15-1
Nats opened with 3 runs in the first inning and just kept going. Eaton and Dozier
had 3 hits. Matt Adams drove in 4 runs. The NL East is starting out as a tight race.
Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia and Washington are all tied or one game behind.
Day off today. home against Pittsburgh Friday. Saturday, and Sunday.

The series with The Pirates started out with a 6-3 loss in 10 innings last night.
Corbin pitched a good game but the bullpen let us down yet again. Anthony Rendon
had 2 home runs for the Nats. Day game at 4:00 today.

We evened up the series 1-1 with Pittsburgh this afternoon. The Nats managed a win 3-2 over the Pirates. The Nats got back to back home runs from Kendrick and Eaton to take the lead in the eighth inning. Sean Doolittle got the 3 outs in the top of the ninth for the save, Suero got the win. Day game tomorrow.

Ouch, once again the bullpen falters. Max Scherzer pitched another good game,
left after 8 innings with a 3-2 lead. Wander Suero gave up a 2 run homer in the ninth
inning and the Nats lost 4-3. Rats. Off day today.

Nationals are going the wrong way. We lost to the Giants last night 7-3. Strasburg
gave up 3 home runs and took the loss. Giants again tonight at 7:05.

We won last night and managed to get back to a .500 record, 8-8. Jeremy Hellickson won. The Nats won 9-6 after leading 9-2. We had 4 home runs and were in great shape until the bullpen took over. The score went from 9-2 to 9-6 very quickly. In the 9th inning the Giants had 2 on and 2 out with Doolittle pitching, that meant that the game tying run was at the plate. Fortunately, the final out was a foul ball behind the plate that Suzuki caught. Day game today.
