It depends on the situation, but in most cases I make that call. I wouldn't say a fold is wrong either though. Patience is crucial to a degree in a tournament and if it's that early I think you can easily find better spots later on in the tournament to get your money in good.

Haha this can happen to anyone micro tournament by people who sit just for fun, in this case especially if it is a turbo tournament play call. I stick to the fact that in the early stages of the tournament you play cautiously and I'm a fold. A player must learn self-discipline no matter what type of tournament he plays.

At the beginning of the tournament, call all-in immediately with A, K only if the tournament is a Hyper turbo.

If this is the beginning of the tournament, I would immediately make a pass. But if this is the end of the tournament, I probably confirmed it.

If it's probably gonna be heads up and there haven't been a few raises in front of you already, I would call for sure.

I will fold because I don’t want to play a coin. Call only with AA KK.

It depends on the tournament being played and sometimes on the mood. I call with AK in 70% of cases.

If I have learned to play these cards passively I have already lost them several times in preflop because it turns out that my opponent already has AA ahead.

I think that this will nevertheless be an easy fold at the beginning of the tournament. Even in the 40BB + stacks this is a fold. not worth it

I would go for it, most players bet all in at the start of tournaments with terrible cards.

AK is a vastly over-rated hand, and in my opinion, I would fold every time if it meant your tourney life was at stake, especially on the first hand. Every pocket pair has you beat before the flop, simply because they have a pair and you don't.
AK suited is only slightly better, and would call a raise but not an all-in shove pre-flop. When it gets deeper in a tourney, there are good reasons for calling if you have the player out chipped and you can take him out of the game, but in early stages I always consider AK to be like any other Ace and that is they are all Ace-Rag before the flop.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

Good day!
If this is a micro limit, then there is always a call, if there are not 4 or more players all-in before us.
In tournaments, it's worth thinking about it, although ... AK is not a hand that should go into the fold if a person immediately shoves all his chips preflop with the first action ...

Give me 72,63,82 in the first hand. I dont wanna have to make that decision. But it depends how many have gone all in

AK vs All-in

Well, as everything in Poker "depends", in this situation we can begin to analyze our current situation and ask ourselves, what type of tournament am I in? Normal? Turbo? HyperTurbo? And depending on how pressing is the need to double then we could risk answering or calling that all-in, now let's analyze the risk of taking that play and it is somewhat simple if we take into account that at the beginning of every tournament the majority of the villains all-in with pairs like AA or KK or middle pairs and now what is the probability that AK will beat this small range of hands? Duplicate ourselves? How does this action help, in the long term, nobody wins a tournament in the first hand and since there is a lot of time left to play, do you think that doubling yourself will allow you to survive the other phases that still have to be overcome?
When you face a situation like that again, analyze your options well and do not try to accelerate the pace of the game that does not help at all and you can not achieve it that way, remember each action, each decision must have an EV +, do not act on function of the short palazzo, it imposes a strategy that will always take you to a safe harbor, and that is from the beginning to the end of a tournament.

Cheers!

Too much risk for little win, and even if AK is an excellent hand, there is no guarantee. Nostalgically fold

Position and number of players paying the all in could define the decision.
But it’s not an easy decision.

Yesterday I played a 3way all in with my AK vs AA vs KK ,on the river me and the player with the aces made straight from A to 5 and we split the pot,but of course this is very rare draw to happen

it can be justified when you win :D

The result of the play shouldn't be factored in when determining if the play was correct or not. First hand of a tournament? It's an easy fold. I'm going to wait for spots where I can outplay my opponents (or try to at least). Why play their game (high variance, gambling, little skill) when you can use what you know to accumulate chips in lower variance positions.

Everyone has made bad plays and won, and made good plays and lost, remember that.

Many people go crazy when this card comes to them and goes to allinn, but this is a mistake in the game, even a couple of twos can knock you out of the game.
