A long time ago, i was playing a freeroll, and i played all in-fold pre-flop until mid-late-game(I hate this kind of play, but i was doing something else). Finished second of 7000. Got really lucky once with JJ X Aces, all time i was all in with premium hands. Never tried again, but it worked .
Dont try this at home :) :)

In a mtt or in a cash game it is not wise to go all in preflop. When you play a spin `n go, or a heads up, or we are in a heads up face in a mttt, going all in preflop is very often!!:2in1:

sometimes you just have to go all in to get some players out of hand, but what will come out on the flop and who will take that hand is never known until the last card, river :) I personally like to play all in :)

So, what you're really saying is you don't like getting value with the 2nd best preflop hand as a ~70 favorite.

going all in preflop is right thing to do when u short stack and its easier when u up vs better player who has more chance to outplay you playing the board.

You're using your strongest starting hands as a way of stealing blinds and in order to due so you put your entire stack at risk with the hopes that weaker hands like AK or AQ will not call you but leaving open the possibility of getting called by AA. When you have a strong hand the whole idea is to get weaker hands to call you. With AA or KK the beauty of having those cards opposed to any other possible hand is that you can raise up the flop enough to where you can isolate the the players that call down to one or two players them while still knowing that you have the strongest hand. You want the AK or AQ to call. If the A happens to hit on the flip and your holding KK you just have to throw that one away and just be glad you hadn't been called when you were only attempting to steal the blind. You would pray that a K or a Q show up on the board as the AK or AQ will gladly give you the chips as the assume that they have top pair with top kicker. The way you're playing your top hands now is scared

Its all about equity. If you can get it in good, go for it, and if you're behind to your opponent's range, fold. In the all in spots, it becomes a math equation. Johnathan Little has a great video about this where he calls an all in pre with pocket 3's.

"I didn't come here to play bingo" is what I tell people who go all in preflop.

People who do that only last five minutes.

The problem with going in pre flop is that you are semi blind you don't know what you're up against so I think it's not a good idea but on the other hand going in after the community cards have been dealt you are always wondering as someone got a set as someone got the flush as someone got a full house has someone got quads it's always a risk unless you're holding the best hand

It depends on position, stack depth, style and skill of opponent etc. You better understand positional play or you wont become a winning player.

I experienced my fall when doing preflop All-in. Had an AA and decided to "response" some crazy-lucky people who won with low card 3 of a kind while I only had 1 pair. That's when I decided to never pre-flop All-in ever. I personally hate it very much.

When you are down to about 10 bb, going all in is usually a move with playable hands
