Crazy freerols has been started on WPT Global from 2nd October. Total 13000+ entries were there. That tournament is way different from other tournament. Every second hand, someone or the other goes all in. That makes it difficult to play.

Any tips you would like to share on how to play those freerols ?

Those kinds of tournaments are more about luck than skill, at least in the early stages. If you’re holding something decent, just shove all-in and hope for the best because if you’re always folding, you won’t get anywhere either.

In freerolls like this, and with so many players, it's hard to come up with a sensible strategy. If you get a good hand, you have to go all in. This way, you have to build a decent bankroll and only then control the game sensibly.

It's very difficult, there are only 20 winners. I think winning will come down to luck. All-in or fold.

If you cant come up with sensible strategy then use non-sensible instead

I think bankroll mindset matters too. It’s a freeroll, so mentally treat it as pure variance practice. Instead of stressing over the luck factor, focus on making good decisions in chaos—like pot odds, ranges, and table reads (those will pay off so much, so pay attention!). And even if you bust early, you’ve basically trained yourself for higher-variance spots in real-money tournaments, where staying calm is a real edge.

And if it is your day, eventually you`ll make a deep run and maybe get a nice prize. It might seem impossible, but hey, still a freeroll right?

Just nit and underfold if you have good value. Also check stats regularly, not everyone there is a maniac and you really don't want to find yourself in the spot where you called an extremely strong nit / very low RFI fish shove because you thought they were shoving any two.

Avoid bluffing at all costs, far too many calling stations there.

Never trust the snap-check button. Never. Don't repeat my mistakes.

Well these are quick tournaments! I think this is specially designed. To give beginners more chances, they could also compete with regular players. In general, you can get into prizes, but you need to use a couple of tickets. In short, it is desirable to double up from the start and add more chips. Winning a tournament like this is crazy luck. Maybe that's why he's called crazy.

Today I got 48th out of 7xxx something players.
Blinds were killing, bad flip, then after that my last 4,6 BB called off with A6, probably should've waited.
Was in the top 10 and top 5 for a good while.
Still sick about it 🙃
Next one :)

168 USD is sad compared to what could be, then again not bad for a freeroll

This is not accurate. The $20k daily freerolls are mystery bounty format. If you last to that point, past the late reg period, you can possibly win bounties from people well before the top 20 (when I played today there were about 1000 left at that point when bounties kicked in).

Given that you have free tickets to play these (I have about 45 tickets for doing absolutely nothing) there is every reason to take risks early on to try to get a big stack. I believe you can rebuy with the free tickets up to 5 times.

My tip is to be patient and wait for good hands. It's the nature of the game to have good players and bad players. Obviously, the good ones are more profitable in the long run.

I don't know what the new tournaments have added; I hadn't played there for a whole year, but when I did, I didn't care. Most Asian players there don't care what cards they're dealt. They'll always make it into a giveaway where four of them have already gone all-in and will be fifth with 72 different stripes.
