big blinds. It's just easier to adapt on every stake you play in cash games. And if you play mtt it's again easier and faster to see how big your stack is. I know you can use software to calculate it, but still I prefer BB mode.

I play with big blinds. It's more convenient, you don't have to count the number of bb

I usually play multiple tables at the same time and I find that playing with the stack in the number of big blinds makes it easier... Still, I guess it depends on each individual and I'd say you should test it out and see which option works better for you and go with it (experience at the tables / results etc...)

I just cannot understand why a person would keep the total in chips in MTTs - seems pointless. The only tiny reason would be to measure your stack against starting stack.

I agree with you, I found it a little awkward when I first started to use the BB count, but now never play with the Chip count showing, It leaves me with one less mathematical equation to calculate, how many Blinds I have left, and when I have to start playing an all-in or fold game.
The chip amount in MTTs is nothing more than a number, that you have to divide when calculating how many BBs you are left with, which change's regularly in a Tournament, and the poker site does that for you.
In Cash game's however, I do like to see my chip count because every chip counts as real money, and of course the blinds never change.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I like doing the math so I keep it on the chip count. It's a little quicker when deciding how much to bet/v-bet/c-bet, as well.

Most strategies used in an MTT are based on the number of big blinds in the effective stack. Because of this I always show my stack as number of big blinds. In a live setting I am constantly computing the number of big blinds so on-line I use the short cut available. One less thing to think about.

I am used to the chip count but I think the option to switch to BB is really interesting. I have not tried it yet but it is a good option to have. But of course every player is different and some things need time to get used to, so just try it :)

As a rule, I keep my stack in chips, but when the blinds exceed 10k I often turn into big blinds.

I tend to toggle back and forth between the 2. I do keep it on chip count for longer periods but continuously toggle to BB to see where I am sitting. I don't like leaving it in BB view because when the blinds change, if I don't realize, it tends to trip me out and make think I lost money somewhere. That's probably just a 'me' problem though, lol.

I play with the chip count and not how many bbs. I use to alternate just to help hone my skills and play with my brain but now I'm on chip count. Good luck and crush em. :D

I prefer chip count, but I think it is not an important factor in poker play.

Chip count...seeing the low number when using BB, reminds me of what usually happens to my chip stack in tournaments.

I like to keep mine in chip count
I do not see many poker sites that allow a bb count being shown.

I do both, and it depends on my decision at that moment in time. All of the Gto charts I've studied were based in BB's. So if I'm having trouble remembering my ranges I go back to BB's.

I like chip count. I think that # of BB is better on final table or on rest of two tables.

I've started playing with BBs sometimes recently.

Its useful as a shortcut to remind me not just when I'm in push/fold territory but when villains are too. If I'm considering acting with a raise from a middle position then its useful to see that a villain to follow only has 5BB and may be pushing instead of calling if he operates.
