Is it a problem to play more than one tournament a day?

For me a tournament is like a potato chip, you can't just have one.

Seriously though I'm a pretty big degen. I always tell myself that I'll only play one a day so I can spread out my deposit and play more poker before going busto. But it never happens, especially if I'm on the money bubble and bust out, I'll play another SNG or go to a cash table. Worst case scenario I go to the bs blackjack table on ACR. That place is hell.

There are poker pros like Lex Veldhuis who play multiple tournaments a day. You can actually watch his live streams doing this on Twitch.

The number of tournaments in the end, and as a growing experience, don't limit yourself to nothing!!

I think there's nothing wrong with playing several tournaments the same day when I normally play between 3 and 5 tournaments in the day, but you have to know when to stop if you feel tired or your game is failing and it's something that is not usual then it means that the time for a break has arrived.

I probably play about ten every day. try to keep it to no more than three at a time. two is a little too slow, four is too many to get good read on players. if I see that I am struggling a little and losing more than I should be, I usually call it a day

I play stably 2 tournaments a day, and when I have more free time I play and 5-7 tournaments, it all depends on you and that you have free time to play because the tournaments take a long time and 2-3 hours and more!

Today I usually play two tournaments per day. If I do well in any of the only one tournament played, more than that becomes tiresome.

One thing Negreanu was saying and I think it is very true is that you should settle a time for your poker session of let's say, 8 hours. In these 8 hours you are the one who chooses if you want to play 3-4 tournaments at the same time or just focus all of your attention on one table, based on how alert you feel on that day. So you should focus to maximize perfomance during a period of time instead of worrying about how many tournaments you play.
Best of luck at the tables

You have to play as many tournaments as you can. If the game goes, why not? And if one loses, then better go fishing.

I don't think there's any reason to arbitrarily limit yourself to one tournament a day. Play as many as you have the time and bankroll for and can reasonably play at a time. I'm usually comfortable playing the early stages for three at a time and the later stages of two at a time, but because of my limited bankroll I'm often limited to just a couple a day. I've found it's definitely a lot easier to play more of them on the weekend, as these massive field MTTs take hours.

I think that it doesn't need to play poker for more than 5 hours a day.
The concentration is lost.

I think everyone should know when to stop. If it's not hurting you or other people, you can play as many tournaments as you want

When you win a few in a row it is not a problem and to prevent loosing to much, I have a limit for loosing at a percentage of my bankroll. When I go over this limit when I by in and I loose, the I take a break of more than a few hours or play again next day.

We understand that there is a chance so? The greater the number of tournaments the greater the probability of a progressive result (from the mathematical point of view).
* I play at least 5 tournaments per day.

It is obvious that everyone has different levels of interest, different amounts of time, different bankrolls, and different lives.
So we each play as many tournaments as we can fit into our lifestyle.

The only concern you should have is when your life is being adversely affected by your poker game - losing too much money - not remembering that the baby has not been fed since you started playing four tournaments ago - forgetting that you had to pick up your wife at the mall yesterday - realizing that you have just spent five hours reading CardsChat forums while the bathtub was over filling with water...

Yes, we love our poker. Let's just keep it in perspective.

1 per day? Once I was playing at the same table with a guy that it took him like forever to play its hand. So I searched him to see if he was playing in other tournaments. And he was playing in 12!! At the same time!! Like wow. I can't even handle one.
Best players tend to play in more than one at the same time. More like 3 or 4.
So it s yourself you have to ask. Can you handle more than one? Or you get tired and play worse?

without volume of play, and tournaments, your profits do not come, you need to beat the variance of the game, and the volume of games, variations tournaments will help you in this .. rethink this colleague, with volume of bad games, becomes easier hit the

This is not a problem, you can safely play the game in more than one tournament, the main thing is to completely immerse yourself in the game and all thoughts.

Absolutely not. Instead, I often open multi tables. It's a way to avoid boring time and get a volume of games. This way, I can be entertained all the time.

If you are just starting with poker, I recommend you focus on 1 or 2 tournaments at the same time, no more than that, since the most important thing is that you incorporate concepts, game dynamics and gaining experience, what else you have to accompany it With study, experience is key when playing. When you have more rhythm and see results you can add more tournaments as long as you feel comfortable

I believe that the problem is not to play more than one tournament a day, but to play unmotivated, or worried, or uncomfortable, or boring, etc. If the person feels good playing several tournaments daily and is satisfied with that for me it is all normal. If the person's psychologist is impacted by a problem, they should not play a tournament and only play again when their thoughts are calm and calm. This helps a lot in reasoning.

If you get knocked out early, you can definitely play more than one a day. If you get to the final table, you're probably good to go for the day.
