All right John, here are some hands from my last tournament that I feel are crucial. There are quite a few so I'll just post them and you can give me a hiding for how I played them.

In order -

1) Passive fish, don't need to take the risk here do I?

7) Standard shoving any broadway here? Give me a general range please, I would probably stack off any Broadway/22+/A2s+/A5o+ based on position here. No idea whether that is correct or not.

It automatically went from BBs>M I'm assuming based on deepness, how do I keep it at BBs?

Hand 1: Foldings fine when this deep.

Hand 2: I think thats fine

Hand 3: Stacking is fine

Hand 4: No reads on villian in SB? 30bb seems like an easy fold but I think we find more often than not they will be just jamming over a lot of worse pairs here. I don't mind folding though but I think this is villian dependant as in general; when I see this it's usually worse pairs.

Hand 5: Yeah, fine.

Hand 6: Fold or 3bet pre. Don't like calling OOP with dominated Qx hands. Much prefer 3bet bluffing vs wide openers on the button. As played, call flop fold turn.

Hand 7: Perfectly fine shove. Any pair; A7o+/Axs+/KTo+Q8s+ some middle suited/connectors/gappers.

OK, here goes:
Hand 1) No, no need. Good fold.
Hand 2) I probably fold when he bombs river into 2 people. Looks pretty strong.
Hand 3) Villain is short, stack off is fine.
Hand 4) I'd be tempted with the TT, villain dependant. Think we can take AA and KK out of their range a lot.
Hand 5) Standard shove.
Hand 6) Fold pre.
Hand 7) Standard shove. Any pair, any suited Ace, A9o+ suited broadway, KQ and maybe T9s

Hand 5) Do you feel we are able to get it in vs worse with a small 3-bet or just elect to shove?

And the TT hand, villain was about 15/9 if I remember correctly and hadn't 3Bet so far. I folded knowing that I overvalue stuff hands when playing 30BB deep but was curious as to whether it is a standard stackoff?

small 3bet looks a lot stronger than shoving. If anything, we get looked up lighter by shoving.

vs a 15/9, TT is fine to fold then.

Sorry for hijacking johns thread.

Villain who shoved is 24/18, villain who called is 96/0. I intended on calling the shortstacks ship. The fish's presence shouldn't slow us down here should it?

Edit - Case for folding pre given position and stack sizes?

I think folding pre is fine, there's lots of reshoving stacks behind. Also MP2 is gonna call a lot and you don't like many flops. 66 is gonna play pretty bad in a multi-way all in too, so while the fishes range isn't particularly good, he still often has 2 overs a lot which just increases the risk to you. I would rather just jam pre or fold, leaning towards a fold just because of position and we have a few too many chips. Awkward stack size.

So in EP with our stack size are we only looking to be playing hands that can call a shove for our stack?

From what I gather -

>10BBs = push/fold
>10-15BBs = push/fold
>15-20BBs = bet/call (possibly with min raise steals depending on blinds?)
>20BB+ = bet/call and bet/fold

Sound about right?

Yeah that's pretty good basic stack size considerations. Can change in some spots, like if I have 15bb OTB and sb and bb are huge nits, you can just min/fold the bottom of your range for example.

For those still interested, I've stopped playing online MTTs this month since my time is much more limited and moved over to Hyper Turbo HU S&Gs. They're going decent, I'm playing the $7 ones. Had a run of 10 wins in a row yesterday so here's hoping the run good continues!

Saw you playing some $3.50's the other day john. Did you just move up to $7.00's or just decided to forget the $3.50's all together or did you grind out some decent profit?

How you finding them? They are fun, I just find any variant longer than 30 days boring and switch, sighhhh. We should do a session together if we can get the same game, it makes the games much more fun.

I was speaking to bluenowhere4 yesterday, have you seen his prop bet challenge he's got going on? Got a $3k bet at 1:1 he can play 10,000 hypers this month with a +roi%. Currently on around 4k games, up over $4k. Pretty sick if he can continue it, will be making a +$10k month in bets/rakeback/profits etc which is pretty dam nice.

That's like 28games/hr. if you're playing 12hrs./day. That is pretty sick.

I miss blue...

I haven't seen it no, send me the link on Skype or something. Yeah I just tried the 3.50s as an Intro, then jumped straight in with the 7s. There's not much difference. Gonna play the 5s/10s next week on FTP cos of their bonus they got going on.

Necro for my own selfish purposes. Are these stack off spots?

1) I figured I would either be flipping or behind an UTG+1's range. So I decided to fold.

PokerStars - $2+$0.20|200/400 Ante 50 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: 6,907 (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 7)

fold, UTG+1 raises to 800, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold

UTG+1 wins 1,450

2) Looking at what is already in there I don't need much equity to BE here. Same position as before but I'm shorter and there is enough in the middle to make this correct, yeah?

Both look fine to me. I would probably jam 44 but I think a fold is fine and the JTs spot is much better since you play better against a general calling range. But idk I play HU hypers now.
