to be honest, I don’t understand the structure and interest in cash games at all, from the very beginning, only poker tournaments were interesting, whether it be MTT or sit and go, they are fairer and clearly more skillful in my opinion than cash games, I’m probably a fish, but everyone is right to choose what the emu is interested in, so tour poker attracts me many times more

I would say cash games are more about picking your position/table/opponent, while mtt is more of a sitting down and going with what you're given. Both are poker, both are it's own way of grinding towards the top and both have their pros and cons.
Personally I prefer playing MTTs. Sitting at a cash table I just get bored way too fast or frustrated while waiting for proper hands and opponents to do stupid plays, where I can earn some money, while at MTT it always feels like a new game that progresses, speeds up with binds, slows down when closer to money ect. I just like it being way more dynamic. :)

One of the reasons, people prefer cash games, is their flexibility. You can enter and leave them, any time you want, and the most, you ever need to wait, is for the blinds to come around to you. Tournaments on the other hand require much more committment, especially MTTs with regular speed or slow blinds, where you never know, if you are going to be playing for one or seven hours. Variance is also larger in tournaments especially large field MTTs, where you occationally win a lot, but most sessions you lose a little.

In a tournament, you need to try to get into the prize zone in order to somehow win back the money invested. If you leave early, you won't get anything. In cash poker, there is an opportunity to make a quick profit. If you play well 1-2 games all-in, you can increase the stack several times. After that, you can leave the table and immediately receive the money won into your account.

I don't like cash poker, I'm not a fan of gambling for money, what is cash poker, but MTT is already a sport for me, I compare it to chess, MTT is strategy, emotions, development

I absolutely agree with you. Tournaments are definitely much more interesting. But it is also worth noting that cash games are much more difficult. In my opinion, to play effectively in cash games, a player must have significantly better skills and experience than to play in tournaments.

I'm curious to know
1.) what makes MTT's more fair vs. cash games?
2.) how is MTT play more skillful than cash games?

The strategy has to be different since there are different variables but you can use something from one at another.

Tourneys have antes, beginning, mid and ending, stacks are not worth the same in cash...

But position, table and villain style, range... Are things that you should use in both.

Right?

Wish y'all lots of fun at the felt.

alright, try to rephrase my opinion
1)if we take into account the long term, by the word fair I could mean it depends on your poker skill, of course bad beats happen, but this is poker. because in a cash game you can win a lot of money just by playing one hand well, although you may not understand what you did right and what was wrong.
2)again, it depends on what distance we choose. maybe for me it's at the association level

It's better to play the tournaments, in the tournaments you can win more money.

I don't play cash games. I love tournaments, especially freerolls. For cash games, you need to have a strong psyche, and mine lives its own life :)

I think they are 2 very different types of games. In cash games, the position on the table and the starting hands are very important. In tournaments you play differently depending on the phase of the tournament and probably much more precautionary

The blinds will eat up your chips in a tourn and you have to put your money at risk in bad spots where you don't in a cash game. You can pick up your chips and leave but not in a tourn. Cash games are better for most people.

The only ones that tourns are better for are people that can consistently do well in tourns someone like Maurice Hawkins who dominates the wsop circuit but not the wsop series in vegas.

He said it best, "why am I going to try to win a few thousand in a cash game over a few days when I can win 10 times that for 1st place in the same amount of time", which is true but there are very few folks that can do this.

it always seems that they can give a lot of money at once in MTT, but everything happens more slowly in cash

I personally think it's about a person's personality of what they prefer. I love playing poker, but cash games don't give me the thrill as tournaments do.

Tournaments are more skillful, soooooo :D In my opinion, skill is a game of cash, and MTT is so much better than spinning a roulette :)
Dude for you for 1 person to the prizes dear fish in the hole on dear two cards, and you put aces in the example and you have a chance to be eliminated, checked) So why did you say mastery in mtt? :)

The main difference between cash games and MTTs is that the stacks in cash games are always the same, and in MTTs the stacks decrease at intervals.

depending on situation, structure, and action prior, jamming 25 bbs isn't uncommon, especially in turbo mtts.

your just upset because you have to fold hands you want to see cheap flops with, which means they probably weren't that good to begin with.

The structure of cash games is non-existent since the blinds never change. Depending on where you play there may be a bomb pot or a straddle for a little variance. If you don't quite "get" ring-games or their intention, it's really about players playing poker, period. Imagine playing w/some friends. Everyone sits down w/$20 or so and you play .05/.10. If you and your friends like to play poker, then you're about to have a bunch of fkng fun for $20 each. For me cash games are more about the game itself, not necessarily whether or not I make any money. I know that sounds crazy but that's about the only way I can look at it from a micro-low limit standpoint.
If I was playing in a game where the limits were, let's say $2/$4 or better, where I'm sitting down w/$500 or more then I am looking to make some $, at least a double-up.
If you've ever watched Tom Dwan play you probably notice that he mainly plays cash games. It's more of a "is the buy-in worth it for the time he's going to spend" kind of a thing. He can buy in to a cash game and make way more money quicker than he can in a trny, hoping to make a positive return. His last main event run is a good example of this. Of course $10K isn't crap to him but I'm sure he doesn't buy in for that "little" anywhere else.
So I suppose it has to do w/the time you have vs the money you're willing to spend. How much is your time worth an hour? Finding a compromise is the path to the comfort zone, imo.

I believe that for those who want to build a bankroll the best game is mtt, several players have already started with a small amount and built a large bankroll. The cash game is for people who want money faster.

In my opinion, it's just the opposite. You can spend many hours in a tournament to win 2, 5, 10 dollars while you can win that in 2 minutes playing cash. What amazes players in cash is the possibility of losing a lot of money in a short time. But if the intention is to make money consistently, cash game is much better.

I also prefer tournaments. I don't like cash games, I guess they are too complicated for me. But tournaments are what bring me joy and money.
