What you do with AA?

Did it only the other night, first hand in a big tourney and I raise UTG for 5 BB and someone shoved All-in with pocket Kings, They hit quads and knocked me out on very first hand.
Still it was only a free-roll. haha!

Basics: The best way to play pocket aces is to raise and re-raise with them before the flop. You should also be playing your pocket aces very aggressively after the flop as well. You should often be willing to get all of your chips in the middle with pocket aces.

except a few cases, i never go allin with AA, unless I am at the final table or in HU, never under playing this pair, in generaly I raise 5bb at any position before the button, if I am at the button I raise 3bb, but when I am facing a loose player who enters all hands and if he raises i only call him, and let him raise into the river, finaly I enjoy at the end. Everything will depend on the position you occupy at the table, if you are on BTN, you need to be more aggressive and raise the bet.
But if you are in UGT or MP, find which players are the ones who can raise the bet and try to get them out of control, to take them to an all in.

Like most players, I usually play aggressively with aces. But sometimes, I also fold.

For instance, if I'm in a SnG with three equal payouts, and we're down to four players, and someone else has a critical stack where I estimate he only has a few minutes left, and someone before me goes all in who has almost the same or more stack of chips as me, I'll often fold.

Yeah, the odds against another player might be 3.5 to 1 or 5 to 1 in my favor depending on what he's holding, but if I feel I already have the game won then why take the chance? I don't need the largest stack of chips to win and am satisfied to allow another player to claim that glory.

Now if the poor player with the critical chip stack were to go all in, that's another matter entirely.

Depends on several factors, like the position, the chipstack, your opponents chipstack, and how you see your opponent.
AA is not a sure win hole cards, there is always a possible badbeat looming somewhere in the table.
But having the strongest hand, you want to maximize your win, but i would not look to getting many players in the pot.
More players in would expose you to a bigger chance of getting a badbeat. So i would look into getting at the most two players in, or one player with the most stack.
My initial move will be to 3BB raise to take out players with garbage hands and hope the high cards would stay. And from there i would CBet or shove depending on the chipstack of the remaining player/s.
It really depends on the situation how you would deal with AA, but one thing for sure, i will never limp my As.

Without knowing any variables, it's so hard to answer your questions. But just answering them as asked, I would say it depends on the situation I'm in. And knowing nothing, if it's a choice between all in or pretending you have nothing, I'd chose all in. Everyone may fold, and you get very little, but if not, at least you're getting it all in with the best starting hand you can have. And that's even assuming you mean go all in or pretend you have nothing, pre flop vs post flop. When you get a chance, try posting some specifics of a hand you were in, and how you played it, and ask what could have been done differently. I bet you'll get some feedback.

either play it fast, or play it slow and react to the board as needed. and then you can play it between that. so basically play it all ways, then they can never put a tell on your raise limits.

The situation should dictate how you play any hand. If its 10-2 off heads up at the final table or AA on the first hand of the tourney. I think the situation dictates your strength just as much as your cards do.

It will depend on the situation. If it is MTT's, tournament start, always with a raise waiting to be re-raised to move all-in. If the opponent just calls, you have to be careful on the flops, there are a lot of people who call with hands for trips or doubles.

It depends a lot on the situation. If it is an all in pre-flop, and I am one of the last to decide, I am tempted to take a chance, because in the pre-flop I am winning. In another situation the pot, the opponents' actions and mainly the community cards depend a lot.

It depends of points i have at table. If i am playing tournament and i have let say 11000 points then i am plying like i have nothing at all. Why because at pokerstars if 1 person have AA or any other 2 cards in hand there is big chance that another player have 66 or 88 or some other 2 same cards. And because of that you always have chance to lose points also. But if i have 3000 points then i am going all in. Why? I will lose or multiple my balans. 😁

With AA I give all-in, because I tried many times only with raise and came into play with small cards, they made 2 pairs and I was left with a swollen lip, from now on I only all-in with AA regardless of the pot or the position in the tournament .
