Hi everyone,
I would appreciate your thoughts on this hand.
I was playing $0.05/$0.10 NLHE 6-max with about 100 big blinds. I was on the Button holding A♠ Q♠.
An early-position player raised to 3 BB. I called, and the blinds folded.
Flop: Q♥ 8♣ 4♠
Villain made a continuation bet of about half the pot. I called with top pair and a good kicker.
Turn: 9♦
Villain bet again, and I called because I still believed I had the best hand against many value bets and bluffs.
River: K♣
Villain moved all-in. I tanked for a while because the King completed some strong hands, but missed draws were also possible. In the end, I folded.
Looking back, I'm wondering if this fold was too tight. Would you have called or folded here? I'd like to hear how others would approach this spot and what range you would assign to the villain.
