Good call from your opponent. Your value range for that size is just flushes and you will have more A high flushes than lower flushes given you open from HJ and the board. So a raise for value would be too thin by your opponent

When you overbet the river, you polarize your range to flushes or bluffs. And as said already, there are very few worse flushes in your range, especially since QJ and JT would often bet the flop. T8 is a straight flush, so if he raise, he can pretty much only get called by QT, or when he is beat.
