Hey everyone, thanks in advance for any feedback! 🤑

NL Holdem 0,25(BB)
SB ($14,82) [VPIP: 25% | PFR: 25% | AGG: 0% | hands: 8]
BB ($25) [VPIP: 22,8% | PFR: 20% | AGG: 44,7% | Flop Agg: 48,4% | Turn Agg: 47,5% | 3Bet: 9,6% | 4Bet: 18,9% | Cold Call: 6,8% | Hands: 4776]
UTG ($25,35) [VPIP: 26,3% | PFR: 21,7% | AGG: 33,2% | Hands: 7778]
HJ ($25,53) [VPIP: 20,4% | PFR: 17,5% | AGG: 38,5% | Hands: 527]
CO HERO ($25,35)
BTN ($25) [VPIP: 22,4% | PFR: 19,4% | AGG: 37,6% | Hands: 2290]

Dealt to Hero::6c4::8c4:

UTG Folds, HJ Folds, HERO Raises To $0,62, BTN Folds, SB Folds, BB Calls $0,37

Hero SPR on Flop: [18,19 effective]
Flop ($1,34): :7d4::kc4::9d4:
BB Checks, HERO Bets $0,70 (Rem. Stack: $24,03), BB Raises To $2,04 (Rem. Stack: $22,34), HERO Calls $1,34 (Rem. Stack: $22,69)

Turn ($5,42): :7d4::kc4::9d4: :10h4:
BB Bets $3,89 (Rem. Stack: $18,45),HERO - ?

Opponent is an aggressive reg (WWSF 52, W$SD 47). What would be Hero's optimal play here? Does it make sense to raise/shove to get value from two pairs, sets, flush draws, and other draws? Or should we just flat call and make a decision on the river

First of all I can see, this is your first post, so welcome to the forum :)

Preflop
Standard open although this is the bottom of our range from CO.

Flop
Definitely a C-bet with a decent draw and zero showdown value. I might go a bit larger, since you are really looking for folds, and your hand is strong enough to call a normal raise. The raise does happen, and at this point I think, the play is 100% to just call. I dont want to get into a raise/reraise war with this hand and end up stacking off with poor equity against hands like sets, two pair or top pair with a flushdraw.

Turn
As you say, you have bottom straight, since J8 and QJ turned better straights. I would not be to worried, he has those hands though, since it would be very aggressive for him to check-raise just a naked gutshot on the flop. So I would only expect him to have the diamond combos and maybe QJ of clubs. He cant have J8 of clubs, since you hold 8c in your hand.

So my though process here would be, that I almost always have the best hand or maybe at worst a chop, since he could have 86 as well. The question therefore is, what is the best way to extract value? With a bit over a pot sized bet left, you can either call and hope, he bet the river, raise small or jam. The issue with jamming is, it might get a bit to much fold equity depending on the Villain.

On the other hand you can not improve, and a lot of river cards are very bad for you, since they complete the flushdraw, pair the board or put a 1-liner to a straight. And for that reason I prefer to make the easy play and jam. It sucks, if he fold two pair, but if he fold a set or a flushdraw, at least you get some protection, and you dont end up paying him off, if he gets there on the river.

To elaborate a bit more about the "bad river" point, if you just call or raise small, and he then call, then the only river cards, that dont reduce the value of your hand, are offsuit A-5. So you are betting on hitting one of 15 "good" cards on the river and avoiding 31 "bad" cards. Its a 2:1 chance, you will kind of hate life, if he jam the river, or maybe at best not be able to bet for value, if he check to you.

This is just a standard fold preflop, no need to get involved.

As played i would small raise turn, shoving good rivers.
