Deep stack or short stack

well both is good. but for me is short stack better cause if i play deep stack my open range is widely - i often play pre flop. but when i play shortstack i become more tighter and start to play by the book🤣

Definitely deep stack. I enjoy having more room to play after the flop and being able to make bigger, more interesting decisions. With deeper stacks, I feel like there’s more strategy involved and you can put more pressure on your opponents. Short-stack poker can be fun too, but it often feels too straightforward.

As an MTT player, I prefer playing short stacked because it is the format I study and understand the best. It allows me to apply my edge through solid push fold decisions and pressure in key tournament spots.

I prefer playing deep stack. I feel like it gives me more room to play my strategy and make decisions.

I would say that it is much better to have a large pile to avoid pressure from players with more cards, it also prevents you from playing anything because “there are few chips”, and you draw more when you have a good hand, at least that's what works for me

short stacks are much easier to play , so i prefer that . you can shove hands like aqs , qq, jj + 1010 and be doing just fine most of the time . with a deep stack plays like that would be terrible .

Would you rather play deep stack or short stack cash games?
I don’t play cash games but when it comes to tournaments, I prefer playing short stack!
It’s more challenging, improves your overall gameplay, decision making and survival instincts in tighter situations is what I feel!

You should game select, and if you game select you should have a skill advantage, so you want to play deep.

I buy-in for table max and have top up checked in the settings. So always deep. Exactly what TeUnit says above. You should be game selecting which should give you a skill advantage, so in turn you wanna make the most of that advantage by buying in for table max.

Cheers!!!

Don't play cash games with "broken stacks" (lower than 100bb and without auto buy-in): the good REGs will notice that you are recreative or inexperienced quickly and will focus to exploit more your game...

Good players want to have bigger stacks in cash games because they are winners, so they are able to get way more chips from you when they have their best hands

Imagine if you have the nut and you had only 50bb to play against a player with 300bb in a situation that he is facing a really unpredictable cooler... you could double it to 600bb, but your decision to play short stack (with 50bb) would make you double up only to 100bb, which, in this case, is 6x lower than what you would be able to get.

But all I said is for winner players, so if you are not a winner player, but just someone who plays only for fun, you would not want to play with larger stacks, because you would loose way more money than you would in the same amount of time.

depends on the strategy im going for that day and who else is at the table whether i know any of them. playing short stacked allows me to play more coin flips for less and double up

Definitely deep stack. You have more room to play post-flop and use your reads/position. Short stack is a bit more straight forward. Deep stack is more interesting for me ♠️🔥🔥

A deep stack usually means more postflop play and a wider range. Deep crushers simply know when and how much to bet. And they're not afraid to bluff. If you want to play well with a deep stack, you're going to have to steal pots that don't belong to you.
